I have four unlocked phones I want to do this on for the gift cards. Can I remove the sims after activating them, never use the service, and still get the gift cards?

What is the maximum number of lines one person can do? Can I port in 6 lines?

Also, how much does it cost monthly for 5 lines port in and 6 lines port in? All I could see is the cheapest being $30 per month for 4 lines...

A Chat rep told me you can earn up to 10 GCs per account. Although a new customer ordering 10 lines off the bat might draw AT&T's scrutiny. They cancelled my previous order (4 lines) and other people's orders for no apparent reasons.

You'll need to do some shopping on AT&T web site, pick different plans, and use the "slider" to see the cost for your number of lines.

It's part of getting the order processed. With my previous order and other people's orders, they were cancelled before any porting attempt.
So after order placement, one needs to call in E-COMM number to confirm order with them personally, and then must checking on the port status to correct any mistakes to get the order process in a timely order.

Yeah the maximum number of lines I could check on the website were for 4 lines. Since the cheapest plan is $30 each for 4 lines, could I assume each subsequent line is $30 as well? So 6 lines would be $180?

1. Go to this site: https://www.att.com/buy/wireless/byod
2. Add the SIM to cart (you don't need to check the phone number to look around).
3. Click on Add Another Device.
4. Scroll down a bit. Click on BYOD.
5. Add another SIM to the cart.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 until you reach the max (per order?) of 5 SIMs.
7. Select Unlimited Starter. It shows $150 for 5 lines, plus taxes & fees.

I assume that if you want to have 10 lines, you probably have to establish your account with 5 lines first. Then add more lines later (someone said your account must be 14 days old or so before you can add more lines, I could be wrong).

Chat with a rep and ask what the lowest monthly cost is for 10 lines.

Did your second order ship? And is it confirmed you have to wait 14 days to add more lines?

I just checked my order status (4 SIMs). It showed a single SIM separately, and a group of 3 SIMs waiting to be ported. I used AT&T porting status web site to check and one of the numbers got ported OK, the other 3 have errors saying that the account numbers don't match what the previous carrier shows. I've sent a message to the seller asking him to recheck the account info of those 3 numbers.
I was fairly certain that I had entered the information correctly, and then I realized that one of the PINs was wrong when I did the same yesterday. I checked with the seller and he confirmed that it was correct, and I resubmitted with the same info and it was fine. Makes me wonder if the info being input into their form is being transcoded by a human in the loop, or if I really had done a typo, ha.

My order shipped this morning FedEx overnight after the error with the pin was corrected last night.

See my post #394.
I contacted the seller and he sent me corrected acct # and PINs for the 3 numbers that didn't port. I tried to update the acc # on AT&T port status web site, but didn't see a place to enter the PIN. Their Chat for porting closed at 6PM EDT. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to chat with them and provide the corrected info.

If staying with AT&T might not be a bad deal ($30 unlimited/line for post paid + taxes), but otherwise the shared plan is $140/mth for 5 lines.

I took screenshots of the acct# and PIN as I entered for each line. So I know I didn't mess up.
I contacted the seller and he sent me corrected info for the 3 numbers that didn't work. It looks like he skipped a line when matching the phone number with its acct# and PIN (i.e. phone #2 was paired with info for phone #3, and so on). That's why 3 of them failed.

Question: did you resubmit the acct# on the AT&T port status web site? If so, where do you enter the PIN?

These unlimited plans might be good for some people, but not me. I only use about 100 minutes and 50 texts a month, hardly any data, no streaming. So I use Tracfones. I'm only signing up for these deals to make some money.

For me only the pin was incorrect and not the account #s, so it only prompted me for a pin, happily took it and when I checked the status again it said it was fine. Maybe the system only validates one item at a time until the next failure.

Did the seller also provide you a different pin? If same pin, no change, if the pin is incorrect for correct new account number it will come back asking for correction again
