I'm contemplating for this deal but how long does it take receiving the SIM card? the number gets ported after activating the line once the SIM card is received right? also how is the billing cycle work? does start from the date of activation or does att send a prorated first bill?
Are you sure you want to put up with the headaches that this deal can bring?
1. Assuming your order won't be cancelled randomly by AT&T, you'll receive the SIMs about 3-4 days after ordering.
2. During the ordering process, you'll provide the phone numbers to be ported in. AT&T will process the port requests and only ship the SIMs if the porting requests were successful. The SIMs will be shipped with the phone numbers pre-assigned to them.
3. When you receive the SIMs and activate them, that's when service with your old carrier will actually be switched to AT&T.
4. AT&T Billing is a mess. The billing period starts when you activate the SIMs, but your first bill could be available a few days later or a month later (billed for 2 months). Taxes & fees are about 25% to 30% of the quoted cost of the service plan.

Thank you hpham_53!!! Much appreciated.

you're right about att billing and rewards. It is a mess. I've not decided yet. I have still another month with the mint. So I'm not sure wasting one month worth of service for two lines and taking the risk of painful process.

Got my two reward visas in the mail today. According to reward site, estimated reward mailed date was 6/21, but got them today. I guess the mailed date is the estimated delivery date. Now debating whether suspending the lines to wait for cash back or completely cancel both.

***Edit - Also, ATT rewards are funded after being activated. Normally get funded within 24-48hrs. So if you activate your VISA and see the balance of 0, don't worry. Balance appears within 24-48hrs

Thanks for the data point. My GCs have an estimated mailed date of 6/28, maybe I'll receive them on that date. That'll give enough time to bail before the next billing period starts on July 6. I used BF for this order and the Estimated Payable date is Aug 1st. I don't want to pay another month at $152 to hopefully get some cb.

BTW, if you used TCB for your Sprint orders, it became Payable today. This morning, mine and others were still showing as Confirmed, now it's Payable.

April 21st...completed 45 active days and claimed the reward. Other people may get it in less days than i did since they have been claiming the rewards after 30ish days. For me, it took 60 days to receive the visas

Phones that are branded by a subsidiary of the Tracfone Family (Tracfone, Total Wireless, Straight Talk, Net10, etc) will only accept a SIM from a subsidiary of the TF Family, unless it was in use for at least 12 months and you got TF to unlock it.
i understand now thanks

If Tcb showing pending with estimate of 14 weeks...what happens if after I got the $250 card and cancel the service? Will I still be paid? I haven't got my reward showed yet. I'll contact them on Monday. My activate day is 5/12.

I can't remember where I read the info, but I've seen statements at one of the cb sites to the effect that if you cancel the order, or return the item, or cancel the service before the cb is shown as Payable then you won't receive that cb. With a purchase of a physical item, the merchants usually set the estimated payable date beyond the date when the item can be returned, so they can be sure that you won't receive the cb then return the item. With a service agreement, it looks like the estimated payable date is 90 days or 13-14 weeks from order date because the merchant wants you to maintain service for that minimum amount of time. Just my observation. If I find where the info is stated, I'll post it.

An example is my transaction with Visible Wireless on TCB. The order was placed back in Feb and Confirmed, with an Estimated Payable Date of 14 weeks (3 months + 1 week) which since long past. The line was ported out after one month of service. Although the cb is not outright Denied, I doubt that I'll ever receive that cb.

I just had a chat with them again, she said they did not process on 6/16. She(name Tina) just processed them manually.
Be careful with Regina(Supervisor), she said processed them but she did nothing.
I checked and not showing yet so will chat them again tomorrow if I don't see anything in the morning, thanks for the heads up!

I ported 2 lines before the limitation of 2 rewards took effect. In case, I port couple more lines with these new terms of 2 rewards per account limitation, would I be eligible for rewards for those 2 lines?

If you have 2 or more lines before the limit was changed, that's the most rewards you'll get. Adding more lines to the same account after the change won't get you any more, or less.

Have your account been 45 days yet? If not, then wait till you are 45 days. If everything is good, AT&T would send you a link or code to claim your reward.
You mean $250 right? Not $200.

I chatted with a rep on AT&T Reward Center site on 6/16 (40th days from activation), she approved the claims for 4 x $250 GCs. They showed up on 6/18 and I claimed them. Got approved on 6/19, to be mailed by 6/28. Some people chatted on their 35th day and were told approved but don't see them for claiming yet. So you can contact before 45 days but not too early.
