Just an update to follow this up and look for suggestions. I just had a 3-way call with Jay in customer service and the reward center. After 'research', I was told that my number from 10 years ago is still a 'win-back', AND I needed to be in the unlimited plan to qualify. None of these are in the reward language and they seemed to make up this rules on the fly. I am told I can talk with the loyalty department, but their system is down now. Any suggestion to pursue further?

This reminded me why I left ATT many years ago...

Give your Verizon bill to att to prove to them if the reward team can receive image or email, ask the rep to specifically note your account that the troubled line is eligible for the $250 or do a 3 way call b/t you, att wireless customer care and reward team.

once a number is off ATT network for 60 days it should no longer considered a win back number...
I believe someone also experienced this problem and got the reward cards eventually

I have no suggestion for your "win-back" number, but if you're in this just to make some money then port out, buy some Boost phone numbers on Ebay.

As far as needing an Unlimited plan to qualify, that's BS from the rep. The terms as of today on AT&T web site say:
You'll need to:
Bring your own ("BYO") compatible, unlocked smartphone.
Add a new line to a new or existing account and port-in an existing number from another carrier.
Activate postpaid wireless service (voice and data).

Many of us here, myself included, use the Shared Data 3GB plan and collected the $250 GCs without problems.

So my 2nd ordered got canceled even tho I called 866 number. Made 3rd order, went to chat to speak with supervisor to not keep cancelling order. Chat Sup said to call ATT Port Dept @ 888-898-7685 after placing order. I did after placing order and they said need to have an active ATT account in order to have numbers ported in and need to call 800-866-1514 to create a temporary account, blah blah blah. Sprint was bad but not this bad.

seems like they dont really want new customers. I ordered 2 lines on 7/4. It was stuck "in progress". This morning I chat with port department to get it going. 2 hours later I got shipping notice.

Sprint is bad when it's time to collect the GCs. AT&T is bad at the beginning, but collecting the GCs is easy in most cases.

I've called 866-267-4510, 877-782-8870 and 888-898-7685, chat with an "expert" Supervisor and nada. Starting to lose hope here and want to avoid another Sprint bill and hoping to get ported soon.

Sprint was easy set up for me from creating accounts to port-in from GV. Collecting Referral GCs have been an issue for some including myself when i didn't received one, but sent them an email got a number to call and they reissued one as a Virtual card with very little effort. My experience has been more positive with Sprint than with ATT and time is ticking for me and trying to avoid another bill and ATT is not cooperating. Ugh

hpham, I need your suggestion. I may get into same win-back situation because for one line I received ' Port-In successfully completed' message but for second line no message yet but line is active in AT&T. I checked with chat rep and they are saying my two lines are eligible for $250 but not sure whether is it true or not.

I am thinking to port out issue line and port in my line from Sprint. Will it impact rewards?.

I don't quite understand your situation.
1. Are your two new SIMs/lines active?
2. Where did the number come from?

Yes. Two SIMs/ lines are active. Those are from eBay. For first line after activation, received port in complete msg.
For second line, I received error during activation in online and asked me to call port department. Tech support activated that line but I didn't receive port in complete message.

I took the screenshot of error. Let me attach it ASAP.

I wouldn't worry about it. You got the port in complete message for the first line because it was activated by you, and the system wants to let you know that it was completed. The 2nd line was activated by tech support and the notification probably went to them, not you.

I used my 4 $250 cards to buy a $1000 money order at my local Dillons (Krogers), paid 88 cents for fee. Deposited the M.O. to my checking account at the ATM on the way home. Quick and easy.

You can transfer to your bank account thru Apple Pay or Venmo. One guy said he prepaid his utility bills.
