Number change with port-in should not impact the eligibility for GC. In my case, i had to order new numbers first due to issue with online ordering system. Then after receiving the sim cards I had to call porting team and replace these new numbers with my port-in numbers. Still got GCs.

There is no fee for number change during the first 30 days of activation of a line. After that it's $35, which could get waived too.
I pointed this out long time ago that ATT allows port in to replace temporary ATT number.

So ppl who got cancelled by ATT should get new number from ATT, when sim arrived, call ATT to port in the numbers...

If order with new numbers is not cancelled, then order cancellation definitely has something to do with customer porting record...

Are you planning to try to port the number again? I was denied 4x and going to give up. I don't understand the security issue when I already have an account with ATT.
I dunno yet. I have 10 days to port out from Sprint and time is ticking.

Are folks getting an email or a letter to notify when you can register for the promo? It's been about 50 days here and no sign yet.

Also, does anyone recall what TCB offered as cash back in May for new lines? I believe it was $100 but they are now claiming $50. Anyone have a screen grab from May?

As far as I know, nobody reported getting the email at or past 45 days. Most of us Chatted with Reward Center reps at this site: https://rewardcenter.att.com/contactus.aspx and requested the rewards after 35 days or so. They're available only M-F 7AM-7PM Central Time. I've chatted with two reps (Julie and Tina) about the rewards for my two accounts and they were very helpful. Contact them on Monday.

TCB usually advertise $50/line for iPhone and $75/line for non-iPhone but always track them at $50/line. You'll have to file a complaint to (hopefully) get the higher amount.

Ahh that's good to know. Can I then port one number and add a new number for 2nd line (and port in later once I have that + sims)?
better to port-in while adding the line itself, then do a number change within port-in later

getting a new number from att does not mark the line as "portin". it should show up as "portin" for the rewards to get processed smoothly.

in my case, i faced a problem with entering port-in information while ordering online. then i shared my screen with chat rep and the rep suggested to get new numbers instead and then port-in later. all this was notated on my account and it helped while processing rewards.

rewards team initially said that these lines are not showing up as "portin" and the rewards would get denied. then i had to contact cs and they processed the rewards based on the earlier notes.

If you choose "get a new number" from att, and port in after sim arrives, the ported in number will replace the ATT number And only ported in number remains on account, and the reward team should use the number on your account to determine your qualifications...unless you are porting back a number that is originally issued by ATT...that ATT system may still consider it as win back number...stupid ATT system

I ordered the line before the terms changed, so I had ATT merge the orders right after activation. I did, however, have multiple accounts in my name. The app is actually designed to handle multiple accounts. I don't know how ATT will handle rebates from multiple accounts now, but I received 4 of my 8 rebates today. Expecting the rest soon.
Did u get any trouble on the rebates when you merge the lines? Seems when the merge two accounts, they cancelled one account and moved the line to another. Not sure whether the rewards will be messed up that way

I ported out w/ H2O sims before the third bill generated and noticed that they indeed credited the few days remaining, which in my case (5 lines) came out to ~$19. I chatted with them online to request a refund and they mentioned it would be done automatically via check in about ~3 weeks. Set a reminder on my phone for about that time and will bug them again if I haven't seen it come in the mail.

I'm willing to try this. So when ordering, instead of placing carrier number and account, get a new # from ATT? Anything else that needs to be done?

Yes, I had a problem but it was easily fixed. The problem is that the lines merged into an account will appear as transferred lines instead of ported lines to the rewards department. But I contacted the billing department and they were able to see that the lines were ported in by looking at the orders. Billing did a 3 way call with rewards department who manually processed the rebates. I got all of my rebate cards this week.

That prompted me to check my account with 4 lines which I ported out on 6/27 and the service was paid through 7/7. It shows a credit of $38.01. Hopefully they'll send me a check. When I closed my T-mo 4-line account in early June, the final printed bill showed a credit of $23 which they said would be sent via a prepaid card. Haven't received it yet.

i got a new att number (num1) initially and then did a number change(num2) with port-in. after 30 days, num2 still did not show as port-in when the rep was trying to process the reward..
looks like the marking(as port-in or not) is based on how the line was added initially irrespective of further number changes

My whole ATT experience has been a nightmare. If you don't get your rebate notification after 45 days of active service, call them: 1-800-675-8459. They had to manually add my lines to the rebate. I also had issues with my 4th line. Apparently it was incorrectly classified as a Winback, which means the line was a former ATT customer who came back within 6 months. If that's the case then you have to wait 60 days before they can manually process your rebate.

I was also given this # as an escalation department for rebates: 877-258-1427.
Same here. Had to call to get the GC processed. Its showing up in the tracker now. I may be wrong but I dont think anyone got a rebate email notification.
