Review from PC Mag [pcmag.com]

Summary: compared with Sony WH-1000XM3, better sound with NC off, but NC not as good as Sony's, and introduces hiss. Build quality is first rate but headphones do not fold into as compact a package as Sony.

I was hoping these would be the WH-1000XM3 killer, but looks like not. Will have to stick with Sony for a while longer.

Looks like this is the old 2nd gen product? The new one is #1646300

H9i linked in OP is the 2nd gen, but the H9 3rd gen you linked to is almost the same in every way with minor improvements, but they took away the removable battery. This is why I prefer my H9i. I have used them for over a year and they have been great. When the battery starts to permenently die in a couple years, I can replace it with a new one.

Agree with OP to compare these with Sony and Bose. You will find B&O does not have the best noice cancelling, but the sound is good and the build quality, materials, and comfort sold me. The Sony and Bose feel cheap for $250+ headphones.

Best Buy also has this price. After months of considering these, Sennheiser, Bose, or the Sony, I think I'll continue to wait for a price drop on the Sony Xm3. I've read reviews on multiple websites where a high number of people have terrible luck with these headphones. Seems like quality control is horrible. Some people can't get the features to work correctly, some hate the sound, have had multiple defective headphones, the list goes on if you search for reviews. The only good thing about these headphones seem to be the build quality but everything else is a lackluster.
