i also bought this same tv last week from costco city of industry, CA too. they didn't have any at the costco la habra, ca. they also had some at the norwalk, costco. TV on clearance, hence the star in the upper right corner. call your local costco to help you find the TV at the closest costco near you.

i was going to buy the Vizio Model M658-G1 [costco.com]

but then i watched this video [youtube.com]

seems like vizio better overall

why did i go with the TCL 6 r613 2018 from costco?
  1. brighter
  2. interface, roku
  3. costco warranty
i'm happy with it. didn't fit in my honda odyssey van because i have too many car seats so my sister in law's short bed truck was super helpful. the 55 inch fit in the van.

See the asterisk in the top right corner of the price placard, it means that the item is pending deletion in the system. Therefore, the 65" TCL 6 series is on clearance and once their inventory is gone they will no longer bring more in.

Love this TV, have the 55" version from Costco. I'm a TCL faithful from now on and actually looking at 43" 4 series to serve as my monitor.

Only minor complaint is that the remote doesn't have the headphone jack but I can still use the phone for that.
Oh yea forgot to mention they also had the 55 inch version 6-series for $399. They had about 5 at the Club i was at.

Bought this TV during thanksgiving. It is a very good TV super bright which works well for me because my living room has a lot of windows. I would buy it for this price in a heartbeat.

I found this reddit discussion if it helps. Compares Hisense H8F, Vizio m658, and this TV.

I saw vizio m658 for $499 in Costco but deal is expired now. Hisense H8F is for $454 in Walmart.

local dimming is the same as contrast control zone. if you look up the threads from December and February, slickdealers bought up the 2018 6-series at this price like hot cakes. Most of us love it. Some of us had to go through the panel lottery (exchanged 1 time for me). Best valued 65" on the market.
While the 65" 2018 TCL 6-series for $425 was being sold at Best Buy. My local Costco actually was selling their 65" TCL 6-series for $450.

Comparison between Vizio m658 and TCL 6 series.

https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...19/613/845

Local Dimming performed better on Vizio in this comoarison despite the higher dimming zones on TCL.

I currently have a Hisense H8F in my living room that's going back to Best Buy since there is a Halo/blooming around whites and light colors against blacks. The TV is nice and picture is great except for that blooming. I am trying to reduce that and hoping the TCL or Vizio have little to zero blooming.

Refresh rate is only 60; too bad I'm looking for 120 and not the weird flash one from that 43" LG model.

I think I remember something in a slickdeal forum about looking for a specific manufacturer date on the box to try to avoid dse???

$499 for a 65" backlit full array with local dimming is mind boggling...
