Verizon is offering customers with existing non-committed 100/100 plan a free upgrade to 200/200 plan for the same monthly cost of $39.99 without additional commitments.

To receive this free upgrade, login to MyVerizon dashboard here [verizon.com]. Then click "Order Now" under the black "mix & match on Fios" tile. Click your existing 100/100 speed, then click "More Speeds" and select 200/200 for a month cost of $39.99.

Complete the order and you'll now have double the speed for "free".

Please note that if your G1100 or G3100 router is connected to the ONT via COAX, your order will not be processed unless a technician visits your location to switch it over to Ethernet. COAX on the ONT only supports speeds up to 100/100 and anything faster will require the router to be connected directly into the Ethernet port on the ONT.

Unfortunately, I only have the option to upgrade from 50 mbps to 75 mbps for $59.99.

Outrageous that lower speeds are more expensive just because they cannot take the time to upgrade the fibers in large apartment buildings in NYC.

Is this a location restriction? Call Fios DIRECT. They should fix you up buddy!

Appreciate the follow up. I have tried, 100mbps and higher are not available, at $39.99 I am stuck at 50 mbps or pay $59.99 for 75 mbps even though higher speeds are offered at $39.99. Does not make sense.

Customer rep could not give me the free upgrade to 75 mbps. Many of the high rise apartments in NYC have only low tier fios speeds despite spectrum offering gigabit in the same buildings

Is the discount automatic once you change your email address to the appropriate domain?
After signing up for Verizon Connections, it took about one billing cycle before I saw the discount applied to my bill.

This is what they show if I switch to this plan:

New Fios Home Internet: 200 Mbps $49.99
Delete 24 Mo. Internet Contract Discount
Delete Fios Internet 50/50
Delete Fios 75/75 Internet Speed Upgrade

I am currently paying $89.99 /mo. for 75/75. Is there also a $10 auto-pay discount? I am currently on auto-pay.

Why do you feel entitled to this "free" upgrade when your situation is totally different than what this deal is offering? And what about you trying to screw Verizon for having a grandfathered plan yet expecting an upgrade without cost. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
Why are you (and everyone else) on SLICKDEALS?
To get the best deal possible. And a Free Upgrade is certainly desired by everyone.

FYI, I have been a customer of Verizon for over 30 years in one form or another. POTS, wireless, and FiOS. Ultimately, nothing is Free, it is just business, and I have been a paying customer all this time.

As far as the grandfather FiOS plan goes, Verizon can end it at any time. It is their choice. I will still subscribe to it while it is around because it makes the most financial sense for me.

Verizon makes lots of offers every year. Unfortunately they are not always clears as to which customers it applies to. Yes, it would be great if an offer applied to every single customer.

Consider yourself fortunate if you can get more service without increasing your bill.

i was in-contract and i asked via chat for a free upgrade, and they gave me $39.99/month for 200/200 with autopay, PLUS a free ONT upgrade to handle the newer speeds.

i still currently have my 75/75 for $49.99/month, so i'm assuming the new plan doesn't go into effect until the ONT is replaced, which is still TBD.

Website showed I had 5 months before i made the change. Now it dosen't show any time period.
It sounds like you really are contract-free now and may be subject to the early termination fee. The rep I spoke with said that if you do get the fee, it'll show up in your next billing cycle. It's pro-rated - the fee would be $15-35 for every month you have left.

Still might not be too bad to eat a one-time fee to get off contract if your previous plan relied on having heavy discounts.

Same for me (using my own modem) except I was out of contract. And I was paying $89.99 for 75/75 in No. Va. I was told via chat that I would be contacted about a date/time for the ONT switch but no estimate of when.

So I ended up chatting and complaining that I couldn't get mix and match. They offered 200/200 for $39.99. Disney+ was an extra 6.99 (which I didn't opt for).
Not sure how long this price will last for my account.
