Verizon is offering customers with existing non-committed 100/100 plan a free upgrade to 200/200 plan for the same monthly cost of $39.99 without additional commitments.

To receive this free upgrade, login to MyVerizon dashboard here [verizon.com]. Then click "Order Now" under the black "mix & match on Fios" tile. Click your existing 100/100 speed, then click "More Speeds" and select 200/200 for a month cost of $39.99.

Complete the order and you'll now have double the speed for "free".

Please note that if your G1100 or G3100 router is connected to the ONT via COAX, your order will not be processed unless a technician visits your location to switch it over to Ethernet. COAX on the ONT only supports speeds up to 100/100 and anything faster will require the router to be connected directly into the Ethernet port on the ONT.

Use Verizon's speed test. It is what the techs use when doing setup.

It's been almost 24 hours and still 120mb. I did the test from above URL as well as from my Fios app on my iphone.

If it doesn't get better in next few days, I may have to call it in. Confused

Wow thanks for the mix and match idea! I upgraded to 200 for free via that and it only took 5 minutes to see the new speeds!

Are you sure it isn't your equipment? Can you wire directly to the ONT and test that way? You using at least cat 5e cable?

I had my mom request the upgrade at her house, which still used coax. I think her ONT was installed between 7 to 10 years ago? Verizon gave her the option to either wait to have someone come out for a fee, or send her an "installation kit" and have her DIY. I had her opt for the latter, and that "installation kit" was nothing more than a 6' ethernet cable. Once I drilled the hole and hooked up the ethernet to the ONT, activating service was extremely painless using their online portal. Switching from moca to ethernet probably took less than a minute once I clicked proceed.

Verizon also explained that I can't use more than a 6' cable between the ONT to the router since it's an older model? If I wanted to install the router more than 6' away, the ONT would need to be upgraded. Upgrading the ONT however, will cost me $150 for a tech team to come out and perform the work.

I definitely have more than 6' of CAT 6 cable running from my ONT and Router. Installed August of 2018. Still working fine but I think my nighthawk router is crapping out.

Has someone that has triple play downgraded to internet only? I have an uncle that has triple play and his bill is almost $200. He wants internet only. I purchased a router and it should be here soon. I hope it's possible

Mine comes up as costing $35 more to switch to 200. I'm currently on a no contact 100/100 plan for $60/month so this would be a big help. Anyone else having the same problem or know of a solution? I'm in RI btw if that helps

Thanks, I finally see the order in my account but no email Smilie I tried to reach out but Verizon is saying ONT upgrade needed and no self install. I did have Ethernet & router hooked up for switch but now stuck. Technician visit schedule is not known due to COVID. Do you have number where you got them to send self self install kit & process the order?

Don't choose the upgrade option. When I did that, I got the same thing.
Click on the black mix and match button and check your choices there. That's where I found the $40/200 plan.

Note that if you signed up recently with a deal that included a prepaid visa card as a signup bonus, this deal removes that offer from your account. So, if you haven't gotten it yet, you might want to wait until you do. My order e-mail said that it removed that offer. But I already go my card and used it, so whatever.
