Homedepot has Klein tools Dual Range NCVT with RT105 for $20.97, free store/curbside pickup. I have seen just the NCVT2 going for $20, so this deal throws in the RT105 for free to make it a good deal.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Klein.../207140245
The NCVT-2 kit from Klein Tools includes a dual-range, non-contact voltage tester as well as a receptacle tester. The NCVT-2 automatically detects and indicates low voltage (12 - 48VAC) and standard voltage (48 - 1000VAC) allowing for broad application. The RT105 will troubleshoot standard 120-VAC grounded outlets. It features a low-battery indicator so that you know when it's time to re-power the device for maximum performance.
NCVT-2 provides non-contact detection of standard voltage in cables, cords, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, switches, outlets and wires
NCVT-2 also provides non-contact detection of low voltage in security, entertainment, communications, environmental control, and irrigation systems
High intensity, bright green or blue LED indicates the NCVT-2 tester is operational and aids in illuminating the workspace
Conditions the RT105 indicates: wiring correct, open ground, reverse polarity, open hot, open neutral, hot/ground reversed
Conditions the RT105 does not indicate: quality of ground, multiple hot wires, combinations of defects, reversal of grounded and grounding conductors
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

This price is very common on Amazon and shipped "free" if you have prime.

The NCVT-2 is reasonably well reviewed, but It might better to buy a more expensive contactless sensor and a cheap and a cheap recepticle tester. Cheap contactless sensors can be too sensitive so they read a live wire from 6" away making it hard to isolate which wires are still live.

You might spend $35-40 total but when you're dealing with 110v you should really make sure you're protected before you're handling anything. Compared the the cost of calling an electrician, it's worth the extra money.

If you have situations where you need these tools, it's better to have the right ones. If you're buying this just because it's a deal, this price is on Amazon frequently enough that there's no need to rush into this.
Amazon has it for the same price https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IX6D...VEb7FKE129
Can you recommend a better contactless sensor? Thanks!

The ones that Harbor Freight used to give away actually aren't bad for household use. And they're cheap so when you break or lose one it doen't hurt much. Don't expect them to give you an accurate True RMS reading for AC, but you won't get that in anything less than a really pricey Fluke or comparable.

Depends on if you want/need TRUE RMS, or if you're looking for general homeowner, diy, troubleshooting.

If you don't want to fork over the cash for FLUKE, then just go with something cheaper that gets good reviews. replace the probes with something nicer, maybe.

I've been pretty happy with an Amprobe AM-510 that i picked up a year or two ago.

I like the Fluke 1AC II, which requires contact with the outlet itself or the insulation on the wire to detect the voltage. It's $29 right now.

Full disclosure: I'm a home owner with some experience with electronics at a variety of voltages through hobbies, but I'm no electrician.
