As opposed to Amazon where "buyers" can harass customer service into filing an A to Z claim wayyyy out of date to try forcing sellers to take back stuff that's long since used up/worn out? Return periods exist for a reason. I can see if people are off by a couple days to a week at most and the items are still in saleable condition. But when I sold on Amazon their seller forums repeatedly had other sellers asking if they should take returns on stuff that was 6 months or more out of date.

Most of the volume sellers on there had a policy of 'refund and move on' and would parrot that rather than telling the others to defend the return as being out of date. It's how "customers" on Amazon get away with ripping people off repeatedly. Thankfully I never ran into it in my time on there (2-4 years at most) but unlike most of the volume sellers I had a backbone and know how to say NO.
