SlickdealsForumsDeal TalkBack in Stock at Home Depot - 18-Volt X2 LXT (36-Volt) Brushless Cordless 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw Kit with four 5.0Ah Battery Pack $250
I grabbed this the last time around. The box was shipped to the wrong address and I had a hell of time with Fedex. Then, a neighbor brings it over.
So, the box is completely torn up and retaped together, but it clearly looks like it was done by home depot. Upon opening, the main tool was not covered with cellophane like the other stuff, although it looked new. There were two batteries locked into the tool which were completely dead!
I thought about returning it, but decided to keep it simply because I don't want to go to Home Depot. The batteries did charge to the fullest. If I had to guess, I think HD pieced this kit together from separate returns on a piece by piece basis.
Can't decide between the rear handle or the standard one so I ordered both
Can someone help in highlighting the difference and pros/cons for a beginner wood worker?
I am new to woodworking and I own this rear handle and a Ryobi circular saw. When I'm cutting wood placed on stands that's about my sternum's height, the top handle saw forces my arm to curve unnaturally to pull the trigger. Perhaps because of that, top handle saw causes more fatigue for me when I pull the trigger.
The rear handle allows my hand to grip and pull the trigger in a relaxed arm orientation. This rear handle also has a trigger that's easy to maintain in long durations because it requires little effort to keep having it pulled.
