"DOCSIS 3.0's highest possible speed is 1Gbps, also known as "Gigabit internet." However, there's also a new standard, known as DOCSIS 3.1, which maxes out at a whopping 10Gbps. Most consumers won't see speeds that high right now, but in the future, they could."
I have a CM400 modem with a 150 mbps internet plan. Is it worth buying this? Also, I have an AC1750 router, is it worth upgrading to an AC2100 router?
Important to note that even if your router is faster (AC2100), it also depends on the devices that connect and their abilities. Ie my router is AC####, but my iPhone 11 can handle AX####.
I managed to pick this up back when it was $48 at OfficeDepot a year or two ago. It's been great. No complaints. Gonna snag one for my parents. Thanks OP!
I bought one of these in January of 2016 for $130 to use with Comcast Xfinity. It has been rock solid the whole time. I have no issues getting to my max speeds of 150Mbps with ethernet to an AC router. Highly recommend this product if you don't mind DOCIS 3.0
