I've been seeking an edger for awhile - was planning on going down the road of battery powered for edger and hedge trimmers, as I already have a gas trimmer (Husqvarna 128LD).

If looks like this attachment is compatible with the Husqvarna - anyone have insight into this combo? For example, is swapping attachments pretty simple and easy? Or would you think battery is still the way to go?

Thanks! Reviews say it will work with the Ryobi attachment-capable string trimmer I recently ordered, and much cheaper than OEM.

Don't discount the depth and wheel position settings and the guide on these things. I grew up using a standalone gas-powered edger. I bought one a few years ago (craftsman brand) for my 80v greenworks. I stopped using it because it would either choke out (which I chalked up to it being intended for a gas-powered base) or it would chip the sidewalk. I tried it last weekend and it turns out I was just holding the damn thing wrong and had the guide/wheel positioned poorly.
