iPhone 8 Plus 128GB on Consumer Cellular $300

The cheapest plan you can get is a $15 plan which includes 250 minutes talk with no data but there is a promotion to get $20 back. The checkout page says:
"$20 credit(s) will be applied for each new line of service added May 15–June 30, 2020. Credit(s) will be applied on the first invoice following activation for lines that remain in service at the end of the billing period."

Most other prices for this phone are $450 for the 64GB model so 128GB for $300 seems like a pretty good deal.

If it's locked this isn't a great deal when you consider that you can get the SE 128gb from Visible for $432 with $200 MC after two payments..and it's unlocked. You will have to spend a minimum of $50 and a maximum of $65 to get the $200 MC but that's better than $90 to make it to unlock for a plan that offers no data and hardly any minutes of talk. Guess they have to unload these on someone. I realize this is a 5.5 vs a 4.7 but considering who it is geared toward, does a 5.5" phone with no data really look like any kind of deal for an older person? My GF's 8 Plus looks like a tablet when my mom is holding it. And if you are buying it for someone who would actually use it, how will this deal look at Christmas when it's unlocked?

If there is a glut of this model lingering on the market, expect them to be about $150 in short order.

Different sizes and the battery life will be way better on the 8 plus. It also has a full hd screen and not 720p.

I'm very happy with Consumer Cellular. And this deal on the 8+ appears to be quite good according to Consumer Reports.

Back when they sold phones at Sears, you could pop an AT&T SIM in with no issues.

I wonder if these carriers will cut the iPhone 8 prices even more once the 12 comes out this fall
