Missed the last two Woot deals, so I settled on this price. It's $64 more than the Woot deal before tax, which is 10% tax for me. I think saving $90 before tax at the going rate at other retailers was enough for me to finally pull the trigger, which was approved at GreenToe.
this may have been a good deal in nov/dec/jan when the mm first came out but with ma2 on the market plus the ongoing mm issues that may or may not be resolved, this price is too high. the mm has too much trouble flying in even moderate wind so I really can't recommend it as a viable drone except for the novice, most casual recreational flyer with little to no interest in drones and a very tight budget.

So what do you recommend? I plan on flying a drone in hurricane-like sustained winds.
If you're referring to Greentoe, Yes. I've gotten a 75" Samsung OLED tv from them and now the Mavic Mini. The price you enter the final price you pay. This includes tax. The tv came from a reputable dealer with a brick & mortar store.

The Mavic Mini Fly More Combo comes with 3 batteries, case, extra propellers, and other accessories for less than $500. On top of that the 2.7k video is better than 90% of the drones available. Mavic Air 2 is $799 for the basic 1 battery, controller, and drone. $988 for the Fly More Combo.

I get that but the mavic mini is mostly grounded. if you don't mind that the mini is not airworthy about 50% of the time (ymmv) then ok, it might be an option. unfortunately this is just my opinion from someone who owns a bunch of toy drones (that doesn't seem to be affected) plus the Mavic Mini and the Mavic Air 2. I cannot recommend the mm in good faith with a clear conscience especially at $450. as you mentioned, it has a pretty good camera and under the right conditions, it flies well but imagine living in Seattle and driving a car who's brakes stop working when it gets wet. would you even pay half price for such a car?
just so we are clear, I believe where I live (and likely a million other people) there is an elevated risk when flying a mini in nominal weather conditions where wind speed is low to moderate and where there are frequent gusts. can you get away with it and fly thru 3 batteries and live to fly another day? yes you can. but the whole wind routine gets old, I did it for 5 months and now I'm happy to fly a tank like the ma2; night and day.

Update: Received an email offering the $450 like the post mentioned. I will update if I receive any other counter offers.
