10 bucks isnt for the router, its not even for the modem - its for the Fiber to ethernet converter box that you cannot buy. Thats why even if you have your own compatible modem/router they can still charge you the $10.

1GB? I go through that in a few days. Pass
That's the speed not the data. It's unlimited data.

This is for existing customers? There is no way to get away from the equipment fee $10.

Are you all sure you are switching to an unlimited plan? When I click the link I see:

"Incl. 1TB data/mo., overage chrgs apply."

I pay $100/mo for unlimited but would (could) not switch to 1TB/mo even for half price!!!

It's like a trick to get people off unlimited. You know like cell phone companies used to do. Wait a minute....

If you already have 1GB service, you can activate HBO max from your account dashboard.

I recently switched from spectrum to this fiber deal, I constantly lag streaming YouTube and playing video games. The claimed 900mb download speed is also false, I routinely get around 400mb plugged in. If you have spectrum call and tell them you will switch and they will offer you 400mb for 50$ a month. I think I'm going to switch back to spectrum. Also instalation of all equipment took about 2.5 hours for me, but they came about 3 weeks after they said they would.
Many websites and/or file hosts won't saturate your connection. If you're getting 900MBit+ on speedtest website, you're getting the service you're paying for.
The other weak link is often the router, which is not always able to handle the 1Gbit connection, especially if you have QoS features enabled.

Worked for me. Existing customer on the 300 plan for 49.99/mo. Now I have 1Gb and HBO for the same price! Took 30 minutes on hold, then asked for "loyalty department" as soon as someone answered. Once I was transferred it took all of about 10 minutes. Anyone have any idea when the upgrade takes effect? Shows on my account that I have a service order in for the 1000 plan but I cannot track the status.

Just got it last week, $63/month with taxes. and $100 reward card. Upload and download speed is about 940 mbps with a ping of 3. Can use my own router but may upgrade to a gaming one later.

This was my issue as I was using an edgerouterx and it was just not living up to the speed. I had to physically attach the machine to the modem/router that at&t provides in front of the ONT to get near gigabit. Additionally, having to put the box into pass through mode was not without issues.
I ended up pulling out my entire closet and redoing my entire network with pfsense and unifi. Then I discovered the pfatt plugin for pfsense (which recently was removed from github) which allows me to just use the modem/router for the 802.1x authentication and I have my pfsense box plugged directly into the ONT. Speed issues are a thing of the past. Big Grin

Do you need to bundle with TV to get the offer?

$10 fee is for the fiber to Ethernet converter box which AT&T owns. It is to be returned when service is cancelled. AT&T didn't provide router to me in Atlanta area. This seems to vary by region. Paying $40+$10 monthly for internet only.
