10 bucks isnt for the router, its not even for the modem - its for the Fiber to ethernet converter box that you cannot buy. Thats why even if you have your own compatible modem/router they can still charge you the $10.

Thanks! I live in a large residential condo community so I'm sure the lines are already there. Just placed the order and tech should be here June 1st. Now gotta cancel Spectrum,
Cool! Out of curiosity, please come back and tell us if you still need to have the power source for the fiber-ethernet box installed inside your condo. It involved drilling a hole from exterior wall to guide the power cable. That was the only part that I could't/would't do myself. I bet I could install the gateway faster than the tech guy.

I got Xfinity to get me down to $80 for 1gb - pretty decent considering I can bring my own equipment and they have better hotspot coverage, so I'm ok with paying $15 more monthly for that.

OP Probably should add to the post that there IS NO DATA CAP for this plan, at least in my area.

That's a pretty huge detail that's not mentioned in the post.

Which city? And for a 1 or 2 year contract?

Atlanta on a 1 year.

I might switch tho, this unlimited data is really tempting although I never come close to the cap, ATT would be $70 total with tax and equip fee. I'm really on the fence. Xfinitys hotspot is really clutch in allowing me to go for cheaper cell plans due to not needing much data.

Got an email from AT&T stating "you're getting access to HBO MAX™ with your AT&T Internet 1000 service" ....FYI ...I took AT&T last year October. You need to activate HBO Max via link provided by that email.

Do you have to call to get the $49.99 plan? Shows up in my offers on the website but doesn't let me select the plan.

Just installed the 1000 plan for $49.99 plus $10 equipment fee and a $100 cash card. I also got an extra $100 cash card with code SAVEMORE. Didnt expect HBOMax will be free, a good deal I would say.
What was your installation cost?

Thank you. I'm in Chicago and thinking of leaving WOW with their 500/50 at $70/month.

What is the upload speed to the 1,000 Mbps download?

Call them... I think they signed me up for this new deal. I tried to login first to find my free HBOMax but couldn't login like you, so I called and they saved me $20/mo!
Were you already on the $70 plan and in the first 12 months of the contract? Thats how I currently am. I think my first 12 months ends in July. Would love to go down to $50 for the same plan.

Unfortunately, I don't have either service yet so I cannot tell you. Maybe search around on google. I doubt its going to be anything crazy - I'm not an IT person, but last I checked, your upload speed bandwidth goes a loooong way assuming you're not running a server being accessed by dozens of ppl.
