10 bucks isnt for the router, its not even for the modem - its for the Fiber to ethernet converter box that you cannot buy. Thats why even if you have your own compatible modem/router they can still charge you the $10.

Definitely need to talk to customer retention if you're paying $90 a month or more. The first rep will refuse to budge even if the everyday pricing is $69.99 so I had to tell them that I will be cancelling and signing back on if that's what it takes. I was able to get rate lowered to 59.99 for 12 months, then 69.99 everyday price. Prorated too so next month's service is already paid for.

Really good speeds overall. https://www.speedtest.net/result/9522836431

As much as I would like to "hate" AT&T, I have no complaints with their fiber service. I am on the 1000 service and get 950+ both up and down. I signed up back in November 2019 right before they started charging the $10/month for their modem. However, I did talk to AT&T and said you can supply your own modem (BGW210-700) and they will remove that fee. Also if you are looking to save money and have other AT&T services, make sure you combine your bill. This is a set further from "bundle". This is my setup.

I currently have AT&T cell service, 2 lines with 12gb data (shared) for about $100 a month
I signed up for AT&T Fiber 1000, was at $70/month, discounted to $60/month because I "bundled" with my cell service.
After I was live and after the first internet bill, I signed up for combined billing with auto payments
This took one billing cycle but my total bill for both services dropped to $120/month (will increase $10/month after 12 months)

After taxes and other fees, my last bill was $127.64

Too bad AT&T internet isn't available in Phoenix AZ. Cox charges more than this price for a 200mbps speed plan.

Anyone using it in San Diego? How's the network and speed reliability in general, of course it's location dependent. Thanks
I'm in san diego and I have the 300 - Looking to upgrade. It's adequate for working from home, but it sounds like the 1000 is a different story. Supposed to be a lot faster.

I currently pay $60 ($20 discount until end of Dec) as I have my gigabit plan bundled with wireless. I don't currently pay for a rental fee.

Was anyone able to get through it $50/mo without a rental fee? I'm concerned if I move over to this plan the rental fee will continued to be there. I'm also unsure if I would pay for a rental fee after this discount period.

Just called into AT&T as a pre-existing 1GB customer and got the discounted price as well! Thanks! Quick Q... for pre-existing customers, is the free HBO Max for only 3 months, or the entire 12? I was only quoted for 3, which is good enough for me!

From experience, don't expect 1gbs speeds. No way the wifi speeds sniff close to 300mbs on the router and wired via ethernet gets around 700 mbs on a good day.

Att replaced my router (stupid arris bgw210) three times but no luck.

Still good speeds at $50 per month (better than comcast) but i hope Att launches their new modem/router as their "most current" one is trash.

Doesnt work as great in gateway mode either. Experimented with a wifi6 nighthawk. Still slow speeds.

But as stated earlier, it's "fast" internet for $50 per month.

I'm not sure why the 25Mbp plan is available where I live, when my parents who live 5 minutes away in the same zip code gets the 1GBps plan... It's been like this for two years now. Desperately want to flip off spectrum.
