10 bucks isnt for the router, its not even for the modem - its for the Fiber to ethernet converter box that you cannot buy. Thats why even if you have your own compatible modem/router they can still charge you the $10.

Same here too. After I read this thread, I called ATT. The first CS told me that 49.99 plan is for new customer only, so I asked to connect to retention team. After they checked my account, I asked for 49.99 plan. That person said OK and switched for me.
I have not check my wired connection speed yet..Now, you make me want to check my wired connection speed to see that it's still in 900 or not.

Is it possible to get $400 back in rewards cards if you purchase internet and cable?

I'm seeing four different lines under savings and promotions:

$100 reward card for ordering internet online.
Applied: promo code SAVEMORE for an extra $100 reward card for checking out with a qualified tv or internet product today.
$100 reward card for at&t tv online orders
Get an additional $100 at&t reward Visa card - because you're ordering tv and internet together.

I'm a new customer and wanted to see if anyone else has seen this as a possibility.

Great advice! I called in and got my rate dropped from $80/mo to $39.99 for one year ($59.99 after that)

I have AT&T Wireless service in addition to Standalone Fiber internet. I was able to get them to view this as a "bundle" and apply the $39.99 price to my internet without any changes to my wireless or internet. The first rep wanted to offer me $10 off (70/mo). I asked for retention and the lady said retention was "only for cancellations" so I told her that I'd be considering cancelling without the deal. After getting to retention, they first said they could only offer $59.99 a mo. It wasn't until we explored the fact that I had wireless coverage as well that she was able to get me lower than $59.99 (to $39.99)-- So.. For some reason it was a no-go for me on the 49.99 deal. So, YMMV, I guess. I did have to debate for a bit, but nothing too wild.

Fine print says "3Download max 940Mbps. Speeds vary. Not g'td."

You see the same from Spectrum too.

True, but I do get 800-900 download and 900+ upload regularly. It is MUCH more reliable and consistent than Spectrum in my experience.

I was on the 300mpbs plan and was mostly getting that speed now i called them and they bumped up to 1000mpbs speed but now not getting it. Tech came home and he could not do any help on that. Swapped the modem but still the result is same. Is anyone else having the same issue?

I believe full price is 90.00 per month just for the internet after 12 months. But you can always renegotiate once this deal is up, of course it's usually a PITA. The only drawback is when you receive any discount, they also add a nice ETF free of charge without telling you (no signature required, no warning, nothing). So just make sure you aren't moving anytime soon.

I am in the same boat. After the speed bumped up to 1000 mbps, i hardly get it. Was on phone with tech. they did all possible from their end. Nothing worked. The tech also came out and changed the model but no result and getting speed below 300
