10 bucks isnt for the router, its not even for the modem - its for the Fiber to ethernet converter box that you cannot buy. Thats why even if you have your own compatible modem/router they can still charge you the $10.

Most devices such as laptops can support this speed plugged in via ethernet. Typically wifi devices such as your smartphone will vary so you may not get the full speed. What kind of devices do you have?

Well I've made up my mind I'm going to switch to ATT. The only thing I"m concerned about is in the event that I cancel ATT, how would I go about returning the equipment.

hanging wire from another pole is cheaper than digging. I am facing the same issue old house has wooden poles i can get xfinity or fiber att, new house only xfinity and im paying 90$ + 50$ unlimited data sucks paying 140/m

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/12/h...tired.html HBO announced a major reorganization of its three streaming apps on Friday.
Previously, HBO had three different apps. By the end of the summer, it will have two: HBO and HBO Max.
The idea is that most HBO subscribers should be using HBO Max unless the platform they pay through hasn't struck a deal with AT&T yet.

front page deal should say $60 because you can't remove $10 equipment fee like with other providers. Might as well put $40 to make it look better when bundled.

Once you have IP pass through, the router is connected directly. So, whatever is a good router under other situations - the same will apply then. I had used a Linksys WRT-1200AC running Openwrt. And it was enough and much better than the modem + router combination AT&T provides you.

Former AT&T tech here..... that's totally NOT true. The fiber to ethernet converter box that you're referring to is called a Optical Network Terminal or ONT, it is the demarcation point at which service starts on the customer's side. If you ever move the ONT is expected to remain behind for the next customer.

With AT&T you pay the rental fee for the residential gateway (RG) if you use it or not.

I would hope that with your "PRO" designation you would take the time to fully know the terms of the deals of which you choose to comment on.

I could have said att charges for the air you breath. The net affect is ATT is charging yo aZz 10 bucks no matter what.

I harmed no one's wallet with that info.

Basically I had it backwards. I said the ONT was charged and not the Gateway. yeah, it's a flub, but regardless even with your words they are still charged so explain in the finest details, how I mislead them and the damage it has done.

I'll wait.

Many have not been able to get the $0 equipment but I moved from.a $70 month 300 mbps plan to this plan for $50 and am not being charged equipment. YMMV for sure.
