10 bucks isnt for the router, its not even for the modem - its for the Fiber to ethernet converter box that you cannot buy. Thats why even if you have your own compatible modem/router they can still charge you the $10.

I still have a couple of weeks before I close on my new house. If I sign up now, can I schedule the install a few weeks out?
Yes you may, I believe you can schedule up to 2 months out. Make sure the new home has fiber to home.

Excited install is scheduled for tomorrow. Unfortunately for me I passed my 1.2tb data allowance with xfinity today. I will be so glad to not have to worry about that anymore.

I've always purchased my own modem for years and years now with xfinity. I dont have that option now with att but in the long run I cut my bill in half and finally cut cord.

Anyone with spectrum service able to get comparable deal to what att offer? I keep getting told that if I upgrade from 400mbps to 1gb Its $60 dollars more and I have to pay activation fee of $200. new or existing customers.

no way getting anywhere close to this its $36 month for 12 months if you get the current (2) $100 visa reward cards and from $85 cashback site. Some got it for $40 month back in March one person got $375 in rewards and cashback making its $8.75 a month for 12 months.

Of course you can buy fiber to ethernet converters... They're everywhere. Why would you say "you cannot buy" ?

FYI ATT Fiber is available in some very limited spots in Toledo, OH even though their coverage map doesn't show it as a "City Available Now". Wonder if I can call and haggle a deal even though I've been a customer for almost a year already.

WOW I did the online chat option and within about 10mins they were able to switch me from the Internet 100 plan to the Internet 1000 plan! I was paying $60 monthly for Internet 100 and am now getting this $50 Internet 1000 deal. No questions asked really so if you're an existing customer hit up chat! If the first rep won't give you the deal try again and connect with a different rep. Woohoo!

I missed alot discussions...so I may ask the same question.
One of the new Asus router has fiber optic port for WAN. Can we bypass ATT converter and their modem/router and connect the fiber direct to the Asus router?

lcahmedI'll be giving them a call today. I pay 100 + change with them now.
You don't need to call. Just login to your account and change your plan from there. It takes about 24 hrs to take effect.
