10 bucks isnt for the router, its not even for the modem - its for the Fiber to ethernet converter box that you cannot buy. Thats why even if you have your own compatible modem/router they can still charge you the $10.

My neighbor also got ATT fiber and was getting speed similar to yours with hardwired ethernet. Meanwhile I have been getting 800+ mbps up/down. He finally was able to get AT&T to do a field visit after months complaining on the phone. In the end, they replaced everything from the box down the street to his house. Now he is getting faster speeds.

Also, the speedtest from their ATT app is only from the ATT server to the node that services your house. So if there is anything wrong between the node and your house, it wouldn't catch it.

I see they have new plan offers: 100mbps, 300mbps, 1000mbps. I'm new to AT&T and fiber in general. Latency should be the same no matter which speed I choose?

When did you order the service? And when was the service activated? I haven't seen anything pertaining to a reward / gift card yet. Entered three codes.. Also is there a way/proof to see the promo codes entered during the sign up?

I ordered, Monday 9/28, service was activated on Tuesday 10/6. I received the notification for the first $100 reward card on 10/6, but have not received anything for the 2nd one yet. I have gone back and have not found any emails that said what rewards I was getting.

It takes a while before you get a notification on the second one. They even gave me the option for a virtual card to get it faster.

I've had fiber for 3 years and it was great. I moved to a new unit in the same apartment complex and took the steps necessary to move my service. 3 false installation dates, over a dozen calls and chats online.... I am now trying to find something else. I am very disappointed in their customer service.
