Tilt Lock
The Hyken has a tilt lock function that the Dexley doesn't. This feature allows the Hyken to lock the backrest at 3 different tilt angles. Kind of like this (this image isn't of the Hyken, but the idea is the same): https://c1.neweggimages
This ended up being a big deal for me because I found the default angle (think 90°) to be too stiff and uncomfortable. I leaned back and locked it at the next angle and it's perfect now. I can sit leaned back and comfortable. There's a further back angle to lock at if you want to rest for a minute or maybe watch a movie.
The Dexley doesn't have this feature. You can lean back and tilt, but it doesn't lock so you have to apply body pressure to tilt. Otherwise Dexley is always at the default 90° angle.
It's a Neck Rest
Secondly, people are referring to the neckrest as a headrest, which is false. It's a neckrest; it supports the arch shape between your head and shoulders (which is your neck). I used to think it was a headrest too which made it uncomfortable (since it sticks out forward compared to the backrest). Once you understand that it's for your NECK and not your HEAD it makes perfect sense and is now comfortable.
If you're tall, the Hyken neckrest may hit your shoulders. There's a neckrest mod [reddit.com] (with imgur tutorial link) that you can do that can raise the neckrest about an inch or so. Some people swear by it and has completely solved their issues with it, but some people have said it isn't enough. So google "hyken headrest mod" and do some research about it.
Size
Hyken and Dexley are essentially the same chair made for two different body sizes. The Dexley is made for larger/wider people, so if you get the Hyken and it's too narrow, the Dexley will work better. I've heard from some smaller people that the Dexley is TOO wide. Remember that too big is a possibility, because then your arms can't sit at a comfortable angle on the armrests and the backrest may be too far back to lean on comfortably. So Hyken vs Dexley is really a matter of your size.
Armrests
The only adjustment for these is up or down (height). My one comment about the armrests is don't dig your elbow into it, as it'll leave a permanent dent. Just lightly rest your arms on it, don't dig your elbow into it. If you find a dent, you can try massaging it away and stop doing that.
Buy with Confidence
I'm not shilling for Staples, but I really liked the experience of buying it.
Free shipping.
You have two weeks to try it, and if not you can return it. I think they'll even pick it up from your house (call them to confirm this is true). So if you don't like the Hyken/Dexley you can return it without worry.
It has a 7 year warranty. I've read that they'll just ship you whatever if you ask for it (like the entire seat base if it starts sagging).
Summary:
If you're small to average, get Hyken.
If you're average to large, get Dexley.
If tilt lock (being able to lock backrest to preset angles) is important to you, get Hyken.

Hyken has beefier arm rests with a stronger lock on the adjustment. This one seems to have more lumbar support but seems to be placed a bit higher.
Edit. Chair had a silver plastic base.

Larger body - Dexley
Both are good chairs for the price!

Only complaint I have is that once in a while, when I sit on it, it'll sink all the way down. Not in a jarring way, but kinda annoying since it happens about 1 in 20 times, and I have to keep readjusting the height. Wouldn't say it's a deal breaker though. Has anyone else experienced this?
