For what these cost the companies to manufacture (<$1-2, if that), they should just toss these things if they are returned.
You don't sell used/refurbed ear buds, that's trash, literal trash.
"Even" $0 isn't even slick, nothing slick about used/refurbed earbuds. Groddy, big time.
If you are buying refurbed earbuds, that's sad... only on SD.
*EDIT* Am I missing something? Does refurb mean something other than used, i.e., been in someone else's groddy ears?
Decent review at rtings
MEPS (US military entrance) sends tons of people to get their ears cleaned. I wouldn't wear a sweater someone else wore, obviously my standards aren't going to be lower for in-ear earbuds, but that's just me.
I don't believe I have to explain this but everyone has their own sanitary standards, I guess.
It's great there is a market for "refurb" in-ear earbuds, I guess. Better then making it in a landfill, but I wouldn't - not for free. I don't know why it's that strange, but that's great that your willing to buy second hand in-ear earbuds, your saving the environment, power to you!
A simple, "I'm afraid because I think it's unsanitary would suffice". Even though it has NOTHING to do with the product.
If you have an honest opinion, fine.

What credentials do you hold to make claims on what is sanitary or not?

I'm sure many times in your life, you've been exposed to things outside of your control.
I got a sealed record from Amazon the other day. It had a red stain and residue, that looked like blood underneath the plastic shrink wrap. I DEALT with it. I sprayed a disinfectant on it. Washed my hands and moved on.
The clothing you bought from a store has probably been handled by at least a few people, plus whoever tried it on before you got there.
Being self-righteous is unbecoming, especially in the current environment we live in.
