That's the ES3 model ($579 Costco) which only comes with the front shock. This is the ES4 model which include front and back shock. I've purchased the Costco one and I do find it will be helpful to have a back shock, once you ride the scooter for awhile you feel like you felt all the bumps in the road and a hard ride. Then I switch to my segway go kart and feel more relaxed. Moral to the story shockes front and back would be a great buy for only $70 more if you want the best. I'm definitely returning the Costco one for this one.

You're willing to trade Costco's lifetime return policy and $70 for a back shock?

The difference is warranty & extended warranty that's like a self employed person saying they rather be a w2 employee because of job security, life is about being a maverick and logical thinking. For me for my preference yes as a long term wear and tare purchase knowing how the ES3 rides yes for long term comfort I rather go with the ES4 oppose to returning the Costco one after awhile from getting tired of it.

Where did you hear this? Other than the 90 day Electronics which has been around for a while, I still believe it's lifetime.

Ah, I guess it was the electronics they changed awhile back. Don't mind me, move along.... nothing to see here but an old man forgetting stuff.

Kickscooter MAX out of stock. It's close in price to this, assuming it has the same discount, with the $35 off from redcard, it should be available for $635 which would be a bigger steal than this.

Bought 2 segways last month. Both defective right away, and customer service was slow to respond and didn't provide any real help. Good thing I was in 30 days return period to return to retailer. WARNING! LOOK AT SCOOTER FORUMS ON REDDIT, THEY HATE THIS BRAND AND MODEL LINE. TOO MANY ISSUES WITH CONTROLLER FAILING, AND PARTS ARE NOT EASY TO GET EXCEPT FOR FAKE CHINESE PARTS WHICH NEED FIRMWARE FLASHING DONE. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Does Costco still honor the warranty if you're no longer a member after the purchase? If not, then that warranty is not free.

Well timed sale, after being mostly stationary the last couple months.
The last thing I'd want to incorporate into my new routine would be walking, jogging, cycling, or any form of actual exercise. And bonus of looking like a doof on a scooter - sorta like getting a shiny new sports car with a mid-life crisis, but stupider!

Yeah. I look stupid hanging out with my kids and riding a scooter. Eventually you'll stop caring what others think.

none of what you said resembles logic. You should 'tare' that feedback on your scale of introspection.
