Verizon Gigabit Internet with free Rental router + Disney+ for $80 month for 12 months.
Save another $20 when combined with Unlimited Wireless plan also 1 month of free YouTube TV.
This is their standardized new pricing with their Fios Mix and Match that was launched several months ago. Further, the $20 is deceiving in your post, as it's $10 off Verizon and $10 off wireless. Finally, it's not an additional $10 if you already have Gigabit/Wireless...the $10 off discount for Gigabit/Wireless has been in place now for I believe we'll over one year. Not sure this is really a "slick deal".
The thing is the jack the rates up after the first 12 months. They jacked up my rates 38% after the honeymoon. I don't recall being notified, they just started taking more after the regular billing email.. The cable company is offering the same bandwidth for cheaper than I started with with FIOS. Look I have been a Verizon fanboy since Bell Atlantic days but this ticks me off. Just waiting until the stay at home order is lifted and time to do some dealing with Verizon if they want me around.
Very few people actually need GB internet. Unless you regularly download huge files that you need right away, or run full daily cloud backups of multiple machines, 200MB will be more than you can use. Even 100MB will support 5 or more simultaneous video streaming sessions without breaking a sweat.
For example, downloading a full copy of Windows 10 from Microsoft's website will take under 10 minutes with 100MB internet. How often do you have to do that?
Lastly, don't sweat the free rental router bonus. You can find these routers on eBay for < $50 all day long, and they're very reliable. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a used one (in fact, I bought several to use as access points in a house with no wired ethernet, since they have MOCA 2.0 built in). And if you don't have any Verizon cable boxes, you can use whatever router you want, there's no real advantage to the Verizon gateway router (although Verizon may be less likely to blame your router if you have internet issues if you use one of theirs instead of a third party).

This WFH life has me downloading 1.5TB a day. And uploading 500GB. Sooo I upgraded, bonus is my office is paying for it.
Apparently, Verizon isn't doing in-home installs at the moment. They told me when I signed up for the 200mb @ $39.99 promotion. It has been over a month now and still now ETA on my ONT upgrade.
Schedule a cancellation first, then set up new service with a new username. Depending on how you do it, you may need to use an email address. Gmail "+" accounts work when you do it online, but reps will tell you the email is invalid.
Thing is - do you really need gig. 9/10 will found that 200mb (or even 100mb) is way more than enough.
Also, you do not need their router if you do internet only. For 200mb or higher, you need to be provisioned for ethernet handoff. That connection goes to your own router.

I was in the same boat and I hit them up on chat yesterday evening and told them I need internet in my home and I've not gotten any updates or ETA since my order. They were able to schedule an appointment for tomorrow! They asked questions about whether anyone in the household was quarantining due to COVID to ensure safety of their techs, and I will be getting my install finally! Definitely recommend giving it a try.

Can you give more info on this provisioning? I have a really good router already I'd love to use rather than paying 15/mo for their newest wifi6 router if possible.

I remember all those commercials for $79.99 triple play. I can't seem to find an option for this anymore.
