I used a similar deal last year but DELL delayed one of my item for almost two months which expired my credit.

Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 7/31/2020, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: K0V4:0001

I spoke to an AMEX rep ("Kate") who confirmed that the $599 spend does not need to be in one transaction to count. The $599 can be spent over multiple transactions during the period leading up to the expiration date.
Just a tidbit in case people are looking to place multiple transactions but under the $599 threshold.
$599 is alot of money, nobody expects you to spend that amount in one transaction. amex made that change a long time ago (in response to several issues) and today, you generally only have the one transaction rules when the minimum spend is around $25 or less.
just ask your questions here, many of us (not just me) know how this works; probably better than the amex reps (who often have to read you the official rules) but we can give you to unofficial rules, too. despite a few folks who are new to the program and want to make the amex offer seem like some sort of crapshoot, the program is solid and reliable even if a few merchants try to make it difficult. of course we cannot give you personal account details which you'll need to call amex for that but about the program itself and the process, ask in this thread or the other dozen amex offer threads.
amex puts "no gift cards" in the terms because in general, most merchants who sells gcs do so thru a third party which will not trigger the offer. so amex gives the customers a heads up that you face this hurdle and if you call to say you purchased an egc from bestbuy.com and you didn't get the credit, they can refer you to the terms rightly so. only a fool would call amex and inquire about a physical gift card they purchased from Best Buy and ask how they got the credit and are they allowed to keep it when the terms say otherwise. people have done it and frankly, that sounds like you. even after everyone here has told you it works, you still insist. in your next post, you'll start talking about the level of data exchanged between amex and the merchant post-transaction and all that tired nonsense that have been discussed ad nauseam. then you claim how extensive the amex audit process goes and that credits are being reversed in bulk but because the internet hasn't heard about them (which we obviously would know about it) then how do I know?
"no gcs" is standard language. it's also probably in the promo agreement with the merchant. it's a loophole that is currently open and have been open for years if not a decade now. I have made $ thousands and not a penny has been reversed. it's not just me and I won't be the last. you can either work with this or you can bow out but please stop trying to discourage others by labeling the behavior as risky. when done correctly, today the risk is very low.

U is slighter better CPU power but using older tech (14nm).
G has better graphics and using newer 10nm die size.
surprised intel didnt leave the U as 9th gen (14nm die size) instead of labeling it as 10th gen?
I still have no idea if I will be able to figure a way to use this deal and not just be wasting extra money since the only thing I KNEW I wanted was a 1tb evo plus. If the 2tb were $399 I would maybe do that and then find something else to meet the requirement.
So I guess I will have to sit around for a month deciding...
if hose 10% coupons were not so limited this would be an extra good deal then because of getting original tax also wiped out.
