Compared to previous deals, this is a terrible deal. You have to stay with them for at least 6 months, and it's a Verizon GC that can only be used at their stores.

You have to get more than one line to make this a good deal, like most deal experts here did in the last few deals. The more lines you get, the better the deal. I did not post all the detailed steps here because I don't want people to abuse the deal and spoil it for people when really need it. A few years ago, many people abused the Verizon trade-in and port-in GC deals, where Verizon clawed back their GCs, and Verizon's lawyers sent them cease-and-desist letters.

Not true. You can use it to pay for any Verizon services, devices, or use it as payment method in the app for anything, including third-party GCs.

Can you shed some more light on how to do it? I'm not on verizon and might consider switching if GC can be used to buy 3rd party gift cards

It involves side-loading older version of the app as Verizon blocks it on the newer version after many people abused it. Search for old Verizon threads here for the detailed steps on how to do it. Good luck hug

Have 4 lines with T-Mobile, all phones are good on the Verizon network, eligible for the teacher plan (30/mo. line with auto-pay, paperless). Can I use the teacher plan discount , and how many phones will I get the $300 GC with?

I see this at the Verizon site:

"If you're receiving the Auto Pay/paper-free billing discount and you use a credit card to make a one-time payment online or through the My Verizon app, the discount will be removed for the current month. The removed discount will appear as a charge on your next bill."

Does it work the same way for payments using Verizon eGCs? Will I lose my Auto Pay discount if I make a one-time payment online using Verizon eGift Card?

There are two methods that I know of that does not require any human interaction with Verizon reps to avoid the one-time payment penalty on the auto-pay discount. One is to overpay your bill by dialing #PMT from your Verizon mobile phone and let the extra credit take care of the future bill. Another is to set eGC as your default payment method on the app. Both of these methods are not considered as a one-time payment on the Verizon billing system. I would advise to avoid human interaction with any Verizon reps because most of them are clueless and may do something stupid to your account that may invalid your eGCs or just plain flag your account for suspicious activity. If anyone knows of any other methods, please share them here. hug

Thank you, good to know! In the second method, what happens if my eGC balance is not sufficient to cover the total bill due? Can I set two eGCs simultaneously as Auto Pay payment sources on the app, so that Verizon can charge the second eGC for the difference?

I had no clue of one time payment penalty at all and I just made several credit card payments on their website in the past 2 months, but nothing happened, no penalty at all.

The payment will be rejected. For eGC with balance less than the total bill due, use it to overpay your account before the bill is due, then the remaining amount due will be automatically paid on the due date from your default payment method. Most people use the first method to load all eGCs onto their accounts and use credit card as the default payment method for Auto Pay. This way, they don't have to worry about insufficient fund from any eGC because any remaining balance of the bill due will be automatically paid by the credit card after all the credit balance loaded on their accounts from the eGCs is used.

Isn't autopay credit only when using a bank account. I did not see any option to use cc and get auto pay discounts for each line
