I have no problem with using the card(s) to actually overpay for service, per your guidance. Also have no problem staying with VZW for 6 months before looking for a better deal.
Any other tips you have? Any links to better deals? Appears this needs to be done before July 1st.. so I got about a week to think it over.

Then strangely after the order was placed, my email receipt said $250 gift card only next to all the lines, even though the agent said it was $300 in her cart. She had to make notes for that, and told me not to worry and that they would be able to change them all to $300. I really hope she is right. Anyone else have similar experiences?
She also told me she has never heard of the gift cards messing up the autopay discount when they are added for bill payments.
