I have had this mouse pad for 2+ years it is fabulous. It did have a strong rubber smell at first as mentioned.
Many lower-end mass-produced mouse pads will have a scent at first. I don't recommend spraying or pouring any detergents or most chemical cleaning agents on your mouse pad. If it has a mild unpleasant scent and you don't want to wait for it to just clear with time, dab a small cloth in water, wring it out, and gently wipe the surface, avoiding letting too much liquid to seep into the pad. If this does nothing, or your pad is particularly gross for some other reason, then fill a sink with soap and water, submerge the pad, gently scrub it to dislodge debris and stains, rinse off remaining soap if any, and pat it dry. Then you just wait a few days (do not bother trying to use a wet pad, tracking and movement on one is terrible). Scents from manufacturing usually clear fairly quickly from just leaving it out and using it either way.
You are confused. You are probably thinking of the small version... Read please. This is the extended. They have like 3 different sizes for these.

Never seen it above this price? This is normally like $30-50 friend.. Ive never seen it under this price... Checking camel, the all time low in the history of the product is $11.99 black friday sale back in 2017...

Would you get the thicker pad with the MM350 at 5mm or this at 3mm?

Probably the thicker one. More stable and glued to the desk

I have one from Glorious PC Gaming Race that's 0.12", which is 3mm, and it's fine. Ditto some other ones I have/had. This is a good deal for $15.

Picked some for the family when these were $20 at best buy. Very well made and love them, but never gonna pay the MSRP of $50. Ours didn't have a smell either lol

Bought this exact same one awhile ago when it was on sale. It smelled like shit. Like so bad. Like worst smell on a product that I've ever ordered. I lysoled the shit out of it. Still smelled. Put it in the deepest darkest hole in my house in hopes that it would just magically smell better later...totally forgot I even had it until today. I'll let you guys know if it still smells once I find it 🤣🤣

Have you bought this particular mousepad? It's on a whole other level man. Trust. I've gotten some cheap graphic mousepads on sites like wish and stuff before. Nowhere close to this smell.

Just air it out for a few days. You can also put a fabric softner sheet with the mouse pad when you store it.

The smell of rubber is always the same when new.

I have this at work and home. Best mouse pad I've ever used. Never thought I'd care about mousepads.
