Need help making a decision. I recently bought the Rockwell lowes clearance multitool for $32 as I didnt have one and I am building my tool arsenal. Looking at this deal I can get m18 multitool for $77 and I already have a lot of batteries for it. Should I shell out $40 more dollars for this or not is the question. Any suggestion is appreciated. Also I dont have any Rockwell tools. So I will be stuck using and charging the tool every 20 min tops. I can return the rockwell as it is still unopened.
Just get the Milwaukee one. Lol

I guess thats what I was leaning more towards. Its one time investment anyways. Thanks. Sometimes you need someone else to just reconfirm the decision.

Direction: if your a home owner/craft/hobby and only need certain tools. Swapping 1 or 2 batteries will be all ya need.

So buy the batteries on eBay etc and pickup tools piece by piece with the free battery/add a tool deals.

As long as you realize that batteries purchased from eBay are likely not going to be covered by any warranty.

Milwaukee tools are in the top-tier when it comes to power tools (which I would also include DeWalt in that tier), but you will usually be paying a premium (setting aside this sale for a moment) for premium performance. If you are a DIY-er and are on a budget, then you might consider Ridgid or Ryobi (both actually made by the same manufacturer). I would probably steer clear of Porter Cable just because I don't know what will happen with them. They are owned by Stanley Black and Decker and they recently purchased Craftsman from Sears (and you may have noticed Craftsman tools at Lowes now) and Craftsman has been marketed as a mid-tier tool for them (with DeWalt being their top-tier and Black and Decker as their lowest tier in a good-better-best setup where PC used to be their mid-tier). Anyway, you won't likely be disappointed with a Milwaukee tool... just maybe a little lighter in your wallet as you expand your collection.

Grabbed the set with the multitool. I need a couple extra batteries, especially since I just modded the kids power wheel to 18v, so there went at least one 5.0 battery, lol. Also been eyeing the m12 multitool, but hey, if I can get the m18 for $75, why not!

Actually I take that back. I was able to get the vacuum I have been eyeing for 79.12 after taxes. That is the cheapest it has been IIRC and after having to carry a shopvac up two flights of stairs for a project, I was dying for one of these.

Thanks OP Smilie.

Thanks OP! Instructions worked perfectly and was able to get the Surge for $90.74 after tax and cancellation of the battery starter kit. Note: The larger batter kit also gives the ability to order the jig saw for ~$120. Not a bad deal if you missed the HD/Milwaukee battery goof-up a few weeks back.

The multi tool is not FUEL, does Miwaukee make a fuel version of this tool?

I looked it up before buying and I don't think they have one. This is their top model.
