Is this a good deal? I'm 23 years old & looking to move into my first tool set
I'd seriously consider a set like this if it's within your budget:

RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ Lithium-Ion Cordless 6-Tool Combo Kit with (2) Batteries, Charger, and Bag

I'm a pretty handy home user with a dewalt drill/driver. Everything else is M18 (outdoor tools, lights, saws etc...). What is the best drill or driver I can pickup from this deal that would cover all my home needs? I never work on cars but pretty much everything else you can think of on 2 acres of land.

I got the M12 impact and drill set is it worth the upgrade to m18?
Is it the Gen 2 M12's? Are you happy with them or have you said to yourself I wish I had more power. I have Gen 2 M12 and am very happy with them but I'm just a home DIYer. Of course the Gen 3 20v are going to be a upgrade.

Add the battery kit and tool you'd like to get. Make sure battery kit is set for ship to home and tool is for in store pick up. You'll see prorated prices in cart. Place order and then cancel the battery kit.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Read the instructions, you need to add the kit + a free tool to your cart, set the battery kit to store pickup and the tool to delivery, place the order (after confirming the discount is being applied), and cancel the delivery part of the order to pick up the battery kit for the reduced price. I believe a more expensive free tool will lower the price of the battery kit more.

You are abusing a flaw in their ordering system where a store pickup cannot be cancelled after being placed, but a delivery can, and they don't readjust the pricing after the order is placed. You must pickup the item at the store and cannot get the reduced price item via delivery.

* assuming you want the kit for the cheaper price, flip the pickup/delivery if you want a cheap tool instead.

I just wish the free tool selection was better or included more of their newer products.

Looking for advice:
I already have a few Batteries.
I want two tools discounted though, the Oscillating Multi-Tool and the 1/2 in. Hammer Drill / Driver.
How would I go about doing this as cheaply as possible?
2 separate transactions, Pick up the tools in store then cancel the battery orders that same day?
Thanks!

Not really. I have the M12 driver (non-fuel) and haven't had it fail me on anything, although it will take a bit longer than a good 18V driver. The drill is a different matter though...

Would it screw things up when I cancel the one item if I use 3 gift cards to purchase them? Anyone have experience with this?
