Circ saw: 111.97
Battery kit: 187.03
The first time I used this trick on the brad nailer and router, the woman at the counter asked about the cancelled part and I just said that I had placed the orders but didn't need those specific tools anymore. Didn't ask any other questions or mention the price so sorry you ended up with the one who looked
This trick has been around for a long time so if they considered it an issue they really should have fixed it ages ago.
Edit: You can always buy both and just return the battery kit. I saw a sign that said due to covid they extended their return window to 180 days, just a bit more annoying.

He did mention that he has previously told the higher-ups about this flaw in the ordering system, but as you say they haven't done anything about it. I wish I'd have said, "so if they know about it, and haven't fixed it, then what's the problem?"
