In case you were looking for plant food for your potted plants, this seemed pretty heavily discounted.

Fertilize the soil in pots to keep flowers etc growing healthier.
Or kill them apparently if dose is too much. I would probably start of with half a stick at very edge of pot and for one plant only as trial.

I ordered these last month for the same price.

Just put them in plant's soil yesterday. They were not easy to break apart individually by hand. Better off using a knife or blunt object between spikes.

Would breaking them up give too much at once?

The idea is for fertilization to be slow release which would occur with each watering. Should not break the sticks. You just push the sticks into the soil. Use the number you think will be sufficient for the plant size. For a large plant, I would push four sticks in the pot but scatter them to cover the full pot circumference.

I got these from my local dollar store, and I can say they work well for my office plant. It's growing faster and looks healthy. It comes with a spike to make an insertion hole, but you can also twist- push. Don't just push them in or the roots will get pushed down.

Can this be used on outdoor potted plants? Would rather use this than hassle with other fertilizers.

this is not the lowest price for these on Amazon...I've gotten for $1.57. Just FYI...if you really don't need might wait.
