Would you guys do this HP or the Staples Lenovo deal at $529? The colors on the Lenovo screen seem meh.

Lenovo Flex 5 14IIL05 81X1 14" Notebook, Intel i5, 16GB Memory, 512GB SSD, Windows 10 (81X1002TUS)
That has an i5 which isn't as good + slightly worse build quality

Any reason then not to get the BB model for $699 (given its 13.3 inches) and is the new 10nm i7 which is definitely good? I don't care much for 2-in-1 though both are touch screen (which is not a big deal for me either). Wondering what am I missing here? Though the ability to upgrade to 16GB is really nice
Well, the Ryzen runs cooler and is faster than the i7. Plus better iGPU.

You can use intel graphics command center to adjust the color settings.
I changed the Hue to +15 and Saturation to +30, and the colors look much better.
You can also do that with AMD Adrenaline. Just for reference.

HP store started selling 15z-ee000 model with 400nits screen. You should check out.
Options at the HP store end up costing big. They overcharge for their upgrades by a lot.

Build quality actually looks very nice. I know it has the i5 vs ryzen but it's also 16gb and $70 cheaper. I was wondering if I'd get anything more for the money.

I like it minus the screen. The colors are a little off.

I didn't see this laptop in person at costco but saw the i3 for $299 or $349 and it looked like a nicer monitor but it was also only playing a optimizing demo.

It gets a little toasty. I wish that the vents went out and not down like my old dell did.

If you dont need 2-in1 laptop with pen etc you should probably look for laptops with full power cpu and discrete gpu's. Basically H series CPU's from Intel or AMD instead of U. And I think you can find discrete gpu's like gtx 1650, 1660 in similar price range in SD deals.
