All of these newer gas cans are a real pain in the butt! With all of the restrictions and regulations you end up getting a gas can that leaks and that you can barely fill your tank with... This IS the best price it's ever been though, so there's that!

Nice find! I hate the new nozzles as well, the Midwest one at Target isn't terrible though. Click a button, then push the can towards the filler. No leaks on my first use...maybe I got lucky.

I agree, once you get the hang of them they are fairly easy to use, you will just hear A LOT of complaints because it doesn't just pour out with ease.
If you don't like the spout.....

$10...much less when you catch on sale. Make sure it fits the hole. Low spill and no heavy lifting.
Better yet, and for the most pleasant gas pouring experience, buy the little air hole pieces and a straight flexible nozzle. the only thing more enjoyable than that is having one of those giant funnels and just dumping the can into a big funnel. now for a little push mowers and weed eaters, yeah those other nozzles are fine. But for any real use this is the much better option!

Looks like that is about $30 and spout is not available. The transfer pump can be had for like $5.99 on sale and eliminates lifting the heavy can. Not much of a bargain.

I do like that pump idea, I would not have thought about that myself, but thanks for explaining that....I may just do it. and you're right, my solution wasn't about saving money but having an enjoyable pouring experience.

Adding to this. I have the HF pump. Got it for $7 after coupon. I've put over 100 gallons through it so far without any issues. I also use AA to D battery converters so I dont have to pay for D batteries.
I also have this can from target. Inside, they have a white plastic sheath for the nozzle. When filling from a gas pump, this plastic piece causes the gas nozzle to splash out gas which then causes the pump to think the container is full. I removed these plastic sheaths with a pair of pliers and screw driver and it solved the problem.
I bought this for my new lawn mower last week. It suck ass. There's a perforated filter inside which takes 10 minutes to fill the entire container 3/4 of the way. I even asked the Costco gas attendant to help. I bet we both spilled well over a gallon of gas trying to fill this pos.
I looked it up and it seems like this is an epa requirement to prevent spills. I honestly don't understand how.
