Dimensions: 12.8" x 8.9" x 0.7"
Weight: 3.2 lbs.

Not quite in the Thin & Ultralight category, but close.

I just purchased an Acer Swift 3 (Ryzen 7). Not too happy with it. If I return it, this HP Notebook deal is at the top of my list of contenders.

The biggest issue with this laptop is it has a really, really, really cheep touchpad. I picked one up at Christmas (i5) so I can't comment on the CPU but the overall laptop is pretty good except for the trouchpad. Display looks good, battery life is pretty good.

Good price. Have similar model but with amd chip. I was shocked how fast it is. Turns on and off faster than my phone. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Buy it if in need. ๐Ÿ‘

Is this the same one that was supposed to be an i3??

That laptop had a loud AF fan that was always on and a crappy trackpad.

I have last year's version of this, and the touchpad (and keyboard) feel suuuuper cheap. I like to use touchpads, the Dell Latitude series in particular, and I cannot use the HP. If you're a mouse user, this is going to be nice and speedy, and probably fine for you. The keyboard was slippery, not matte, which I also despise.

Holy crap:
  • 1920x1080 (not 768p) IPS (not TN) Screen
  • 10th gen Intel CPU (not 8th)
  • 8GB RAM (not 4GB)
  • 256GB (not 128GB) SSD (not a HDD)
  • Backlit (as opposed to non-) keyboard
  • 2x2 Wireless card (not 1x1)
  • Not too heavy
  • Good battery life
Are there any other checkboxes even left to hit at THIS price? Confused

echoing the touchpad issue.. I bought this for my wife and she complained how she hates the touchpad on how cheap it feels. everything about this laptop is great "but" the touchpad.. but since the touchpad is pretty much "always" used as a main input device, I would not purchase this laptop again.

Be nice if it had a better touchpad and a 300 nits screen.

Nonetheless, a good value for price vs. features. Cheaper than a lot of Chromebooks.

What about USB C charging? I can't find any information on the product page. Does it support charging via USB C?

I bought this a few weeks ago for my kid's online classes from Costoc. Picture quality was good and it booted up very quickly. After a few days, the wireless would drop and would disappear from device manager. Re-starting the laptop worked as a remedy a few times before the wireless stopped working entirely. Spent 2+ hours with HP tech support to no avail. I wanted to like this laptop but the wireless issue made my unit worthless.
