Anyone getting an error message when they try to reserve a line?

So as an existing customer, you can add one free line. Once your BYOD free lines end on 6/30, you will pay the regular price for those 2 lines on Sprint, and you will just get a 3rd line free.

If you are currently paying for 2 lines, then you can add a 3rd line free.

And I believe you have to pay taxes for the free line, like on the Sprint free 1 year plan.

Yes, I also tried reserving a line and got the following error:
Oh no! It's seems there are no more compatible plans for this phone. Please try different IMEI number or shop our wide selections of phones.

Thanks got my "free" line, just had to pay $30 activation.
Still worth it.
Well someone was successful! Now that you have it, please tell us what's the process and what option you picked? also what is your current plan?

Is the "free" line via monthly credit?

Does Unlimited Savings (on the bill, under individual line, it says Unlimited Freedom MRC) plan qualify for this? Thx
I am on the Unlimited savings and cannot make this work. I'm not bothering with chat either.

From postings on reddit, I can confirm that SWAC, SERO, Kickstart, and business lines are not eligible. Have also seen that Everything Data lines are likely not eligible as well.

Edit: I was successful in adding a free line with a plan that has a mix of unlimited v2 and Kickstart lines.

Aren't all lines after the first 2 for Sprint "free" ?

The last time I went in to ask about plans, I was told that the first line is $65 (or whatever) and the second is $60, then lines 3-5 are free.

Looking into this to use as kind of a "house phone." I don't really want my kids having a phone of their own yet, no matter how much the 8 year old wants one.

Read the entire thread, lots of different info.

So when I load the promo page it says $0 monthly but there is a little "i" info button under where it says SD video streaming, when you click it it says

"Free after $35/mo. credit. Video streams up to 480p, music up to 500 Kbps, gaming up to 2 Mbps. During congestion, the small fraction of customers using >50GB/mo. may notice reduced speeds until next bill cycle due to data prioritization. Unlimited data on our network. Reqs new line and eligible BYOD or Full SRP phone. Account, plan, or device changes may end monthly credit. Other mo. charges apply.**"

So is this why all of you are seeing $35 at the end. Because it looks like it will be a $35 a month plan and you then get a $35 credit every month for it.

Plus you need to pay the taxes and fees for it.

Also for all of those reserving a line. It looks like it is basically turned ON from that point, even though you won't have a phone on it, you will start paying the taxes and feeds on it. It is in one of the drop down accordions at the bottom of the page.

"Your reserved line is just like any other line and therefore subject to standard fees and taxes even though you are not actively using the service."

Either way I still might bite. I just don't ever trust sprint to credit me like they say they will. I also would like to buy a new iPhone SE for myself and then could just put the 6 I am using on this account.

edit - If I click reserve a line it tells me I don't have a compatible phone for this plan. Like others reported. Which doesn't make sense...

Edit 2 - yeah this entire process is wonky. If i click bring my own phone, it takes me to a page talking about the $35 phone plan. If I click new phone, it takes me to the store, I select a phone, it then only allows me to add it to the plan I already have. Click reserve and it says I don't have a phone. It is like no one through this user experience through at all.
Do you remember what the menu item name is? I'm trying to find the line on my account.

You can only add a BYOD or but a phone at full price. You cannot use any of the lease deals on this love. It has the same rules as the Kickstart lines.
I have the option to add a new phone with my new free line at special lease prices, just dont know if I just reserve the additional line if I can get a lease deal in the future.

that's what I thought too.
line1+2 = $100
line 3 to 5 are free.

perhaps this time, for those who have only 1 line and are paying $65 month (or $35 kickstart plan), they can add one or more lines for free, and still pay $65 (or $35) per month.

Should add this to Wiki, the promo is definitely YMMV, or else 99% of the people here would say the company is doing people wrong and all kinds of stuff.

Great question. I'd love to know what the next steps are now that I have reserved my line.
So if you look on the account dashboard on the devices page, there is a tab for MISC. My reservation was listed.
