Hi, I didn't see this posted anywhere. Right now until 10/17/20, Walmart is offering the 64GB iPhone SE for $249 if you sign up for a prepaid plan of $50 or more. It looks like the 25GB of data for $40 a month ($10 prepay discount) is eligible for this deal.

Looks like the AT&T prepaid unlock policy requires 6 months of service.
Before you submit your unlock request, make sure you meet these requirements:
Your AT&T device isn't reported lost, stolen, or involved in fraud.
You purchased your device with an installment or term agreement and:
You've had active AT&T service for at least 60 days.
You completed your contract (including paying any early termination fees) or paid off your installment agreement at least 24 hours before your unlock request.
You have AT&T service and no past due or unpaid balances.
Your device isn't active on another AT&T account.
You waited at least 14 days after an early upgrade to unlock your old device (30 days if you have a business account).
Your AT&T PREPAID®device has been active for at least 6 months.
Heads up:
Been called to active duty? If you submit your TCS or PCS (temporary/permanent change of station) documents, you may not have to complete your installment agreement or contract to unlock your device.
Have a business-owned device? Be sure your company authorizes any unlock requests.
Look! The important legal stuff.
AT&T reserves the right to deny any unlock request that it concludes would result in an abuse of this policy or is part of an effort to defraud AT&T or its customers. AT&T further reserves the right to alter this unlocking policy at its discretion without advance notice. If during any one month, more than 100 requests are made from a single source, and if more than 10% of those requests are duplicate IMEI numbers, AT&T will no longer process unlock requests from that source.
2 questions...
1- only black? No other colors?
2- I've got a 1 year prepaid AT&T plan set up from that $300 plan earlier in the year and it runs through I think Feb next year. I could in theory buy this phone, sign up for 1 month via walmart, cancel this line but then move the phone to my existing $300 plan, replacing the 6s I'm currently using (which would make the phone effectively $300ish for me, which is cheaper than $400 retail). 6 months later would I be able to get the SE unlocked on that other AT&T line?

Yeah I didn't read anything about having to stay on the plan multiple months... You could probably give someone the sim card for the $40 plan and let them use it after you verify you are receiving the 25 gbs.
That went front page fast! Note that it's in store only and you definitely want to add autopay requirement to the Wiki. You do have to provide your credit card number to Walmart associate who is setting up the account. Nothing that says you can't turn off autopay and let the account expire but if you don't sign up for it you won't get the $100 extra savings.
Ever since I started paying $20/month with Mint Mobile, after dropping my $70/month AT&T plan, all these deals don't seem like deals.
Precisely. Even visible mobile costs 25$ for unlimited everything and last I checked has a 200$ Visa card rebate that brings the price of this phone down to only 200$
So can i cancel the plan immediately and just use this with my current at&t plan? If so this is definitely a steal and ill be picking one up tomorrow as a spare..i know att prepaids used to work in the past.
