Seems kind of strange that the 13.3" has DDR3 memory in it. Is that a typo? Why would they be making laptops in 2020 with DDR3?

Also they are listing a fingerprint reader on these units but I don't see any fingerprint sensor on either laptop. What's going on here? Marshmallow

EDIT: I read on best buy's page from a Dell rep that says that all 7000 series laptops have fingerprint sensors in the power button. So there's that answer, seems like an odd place to put it: "Goes to scan finger..... turns off the laptop instead by accident". Facepalm

Not upgradable. Interestingly it has optane memory but I don't think that compensates for the low RAM

I have a LG Gram 13 that has a finger print reader in the power button. If it is designed like the LG it is a fantastic feature. When you power on your computer or wake it from sleep using the power button you are also unlocking it at the same time even if the unlock screen hasn't loaded when the computer is waking from sleep or hibernation. Do 2 steps in 1.

The 13 inch is soldered, the 15 is upgrade-able

I returned this and bought the Lenovo Flex 5 deal with the Ryzen 5 and 16GB of RAM for $50 more. Very happy I did.

DDR3 is not a typo but it does appear to be running at 2133MHz, so at least it's very fast DDR3. That combined with pairing the SSD with Optane will show some decent performance.

I agree on the power button...unless they have decreased the sensitivity, I see a lot of unintended shutdowns/sleep cycles.

Unfortunately, Ryzen laptops don't come with Thunderbolt 3 ports, if that's important to you. This one does.

Exact specs I was looking for (especially the 512gb storage), and I don't think I can wait until the July sales. $300 off is a nice deal, and a lot better than the 20% off I was going to get through Dell. Thanks OP.

When I purchased mine the 15 inch was cheaper it is so much heavier.
