Not sure why the iPad 2019 at $330 gets so much attention when this one has a massively upgraded processor and is only $100 more. Seems like a no-brainer, but I'm not that familiar with Apple products.
The Pro versions jump the price significantly. Even a refurbished one from 2018 is $120 more than this...
Undecided between this and the least expensive IPad Pro.
Does the 11 inch Pro screen look much bigger.
I've read this IPad Air may be the sweet spot on a price/performance basis.
I'm a browser and have multiple newspaper subscriptions.
I would get the pro. The screen is not that much bigger but the faster refresh rate and edge to edge really make a difference, it just looks so good. However, if you're a student or looking for maximum value per dollar then get this

Because people typically only use these as browsing machines and are overkill at the basic specs.

bc it's not worth $100 more for doing basic stuff. Like watching youtube, web browsing, etc...
I just upgraded from an iPad to the newest iPad Air. Much better performance and an overall very nice item. And at this price, it is well worth the money in my opinion!
This is a very good deal, not sure why only 2 thumbs up. Currently the lowest retail price for a iPad air. And the applecare in Costco seems cheaper too!

Don't necessarily disagree that iPad Air is a much better device. But it's not fair to compare the retail price of iPad 2019 with the sale price of iPad Air.
When you compare sale prices - The iPad 2019 is about $250 (available at this price quite often and at multiple retailers; it's even been $240 at microcenter), while the sale price of this iPad Air here is $430 (which btw is a rare sale; only at a member-only wholesale club that isn't present in many cities; and thus difficult to replicate for many folks. Typical sale price of iPad Air has been $470).
So the real world price difference between the two is $180-$230 depending on which deal you can replicate. A price conscious buyer knows this. And considering that for many people the cheaper iPad will do all they ever use it for, saying that the price difference is 'just $100' honestly amounts to selling the virtues of the iPad 2019 short.
If the real world price difference were really just $100, the iPad Air would win the value proposition easily. But as the prices actually stand, the regular iPad wins it easily. Not saying that iPad Air is not the better device or it's not worth its price for many people. Just pointing out that you are kind of making a specious argument here by comparing the sale price of one versus the retail price of another.
