My conversation:

you currently have 5 lines right?
Christina - 6:18 PM
yes
Me - 6:18 PM

You qualify if you activate one new voice line.
Christina - 6:19 PM
So you are saying I still have to activate an additional line to get a free line? Or will the new line be free?
Me - 6:20 PM

Yes you would have to activate an additional line. And then you'd be getting a free line.
Christina - 6:21 PM
Ok thanks
Me - 6:21 PM

I have T-Mobile ONE 4 paid lines, one free line and kickback...still lots of questions on T & Cs.
I have exactly same plan with 5 lines as your. I would be glad if they would allow to add free line without adding paid line lol.

The new line would offer the exact same services as your other phones for that plan.
The last promotion for free unlimited data for those with 6GB plan (Simple Choice North America 6GB Family ). The unlimited data for each lines are added using add-on (Unlimited High-Speed Included w/ 6GB Mobile Hotspot).

So the plan is still 6GB data plan but each line has unlimited data add-on for $0.

So if you add additional line, will they automatically add the $0 unlimited data add-on? Or you just get 6GB data?

I've stacked 4 free lines on T-Mobile, starting back in 2016. This will be my 5th.
What do u do with the 5 free lines? I'm trying to see what I can do with my free lines. With this free line, it will be my 3rd. Can't think of a use for it

For existing customer, can I make my existing 3rd line free with this promotion? (instead of adding one new line)
Thanks
That would be nice if all of us got our bill reduced by one line by making an existing line free. But sadly T-Mobile isn't interested in lowering their income but rather increasing their subscriber numbers. So you'll have to be satisfied with getting a 4th free line.

I cancelled 2 lines from my family plan not long ago.
Was told I won't qualify for any promotions for a period of time (forgot if 2 or 3 months, anyone knows?).
I guess I can't take advantage of this promo then...
I'm seeing 90 days from cancellation to qualify for next promo.

Seems a bit to easy, there's got to be a catch.

I am on the TMO ONE All In promo, 2 paid lines and a free line, with the 'hookup' discount...I'm pretty sure I'm not eligible because it might be considered discounted with the hookup.
hookup is on your account, not your plan.

Worse case, 6GB data (with likely upgrade eventually as they want to get rid of data stash). Best case, $0 unlimited data add-on from get-go. Good news is that is a free and you're in a no-lose situation (beside $10 for sim, $20 for activation, and relevant taxes/fees)!

Yes, you should be able to add another line, as you already have at least two existing lines.

The free line will have the same data as the other voice lines in your plan. It's just termed a voice line as opposed to a tablet line or a smart watch line.

It does have data though. It's a regular "voice" line, not to be confused with tablets and wearable data lines.

Wondering - does the 3rd line free promotion end today for new customers? And if it doesn't, can I do both that and this new deal tomorrow? I've been debating switching to T-mobile, but it just wasn't good enough still, waiting for the right deal on 3 or 4 lines to be at $30/month each. I can't make it in today, but if I went in tomorrow and signed up for a 2 new lines with a 3rd line free, I wonder if I could get the other free line through this promotion? Probably not, but unfortunately I just can't get there this evening to sign up for the current new customer promo
Switch today via chat, Facebook or twitter will work well. then add the 4th line tomorrow.

I'll be interested in more details about this tomorrow. I currently have 8 mobile one lines (5 voice, 3 data) with 1 voice and 2 data being free. In the past when I've added a9th line, I've also been charged $5/month because they say 8 is the max for autopay discount.

I have a free mobile internet line (6gb) that T-mobile keeps trying to take away when I do one of these promos. I wonder if this add a line will be any different.
Of course not. Big Grin
