How dare they try to make a one-time $30 in exchange for giving you a FREE line, Mr. Entitled.

This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

This sounds too good to be true. I have the Hookup/Insider discount that was available at the end of last year. I am terrified of losing it by doing something like this. But I could use an extra line. Currently pay for 4 lines and have a 5th free.

Anyone had experience with attaching a line like this to an Apple Watch with eSIM? I can't imagine it'd be an issue, just a matter of eSIM vs. physical... might avoid the SIM card cost then.

Some people have large families... Some also use eSims like on the newer iPhones and have two lines on one phone. I don't personally but I understand how people may do that.

I don't think you can add a ninth line but it depends on the existing plan that person is on right now.
That's a good point, you could use the eSim to save the $10 for the SIM card or use it to separate work/business, though I already have a free digits line. Maybe we can also use this new "voice" line as "digits" since all voice lines essentially are digits.

hes' right, TMo will never give you a free line w/o adding add'l line. this is their bait to get more customers all these years.

My conversation:

you currently have 5 lines right?
Christina - 6:18 PM
yes
Me - 6:18 PM

You qualify if you activate one new voice line.
Christina - 6:19 PM
So you are saying I still have to activate an additional line to get a free line? Or will the new line be free?
Me - 6:20 PM

Yes you would have to activate an additional line. And then you'd be getting a free line.
Christina - 6:21 PM
Ok thanks
Me - 6:21 PM

I have T-Mobile ONE 4 paid lines, one free line and kickback...still lots of questions on T & Cs.
When they ran a similar promotion about 4 years ago, they gave you an extra line without requiring to add a line as long as you had at least 2 existing lines. All you paid was taxes and fees (if you are paying such fees on your existing plan). If your plan didn't have any taxes or fees then you don't pay anything. So, no, it's not a bait. Atl least that was how it was back then.

This is for a free normal voice line, not smartwatch line.

that's my thought as well. The G pad I got for free is getting long in the tooth so I was thinking of getting another cellular tablet at some point. However, I read that if you put a voice line sim into a tablet, speeds will be limited to 0.5 mbps. still worth trying though
Yes, these things will be limited. But I wonder if this could be used for Internet backup at home. I think if you put them in an Android phone you might be able to connect them to the router for cellular backup. Would need to find a suitable cheap Droid phone then as well.

If I'm on the free One Plus promo for my current 4 lines, will the promo also be applied to the new line?
These promos are usually per line, so it won't be on the new one likely.

I think the scariest part of this kind of deal is to have subscribers locked on having 4+ lines and later (2-3 yrs later) force them to pay extra $$$.
I have 2 free lines from about 4 years ago the last time they offered something like this. It has been and still is free except for taxes and fees (because I pay taxes and fees on Simple Choice on all of my lines). They will not force you to pay extra money unless you violate the terms ie Cancel one of your paid lines down the line (I forget how long you cannot make changes to existing lines).

If Simple Choice qualifies then your One plan will also. And the free voice line is a regular phone line with the same unlimited text and data as your other One lines. Voice line doesn't mean voice calls only.

Pretty sure it doesn't matter, a voice line can be used in many things... such as data-only devices. I think it would more likely come down to them allowing it or not, but the device can use that type of line.

Well you just answered your own question. They won't allow it to be activated on an eSim of a smartwatch.

As for other uses, i am not sure.

I know you can't stick a data sim into a phone.

I am not sure if you can stick a voice line (with data) sim into a tablet.

eSim is different because they will know when you are activating what kind of device it is from the beginning.

In certain cars that accept sim cards, you can put in a voice sim and it will use data from that sim. i have done that in one of my cars even though that sim slot is for data only.

Does a Voice line include any data? If so, how many GBs?
That depends on the plan you have, the new line with inherit the basic setup of you main features without the extras, such as "one plus".

Or would they... I was asking for anyone with experience, as I've not had any issue with other devices before that would likely act the same way as a watch, just not with any eSIM.
