im currently going through online chat. i had to pay for the sim card and delivery, around 23 bucks.

the rep is currently processing the order and adding the line to my account.

for reference: i have tmobile one. ported in a number to get a free line. so now i have 2 paid lines and 2 free lines.
Nice! Do you also have the kickback and hookup? Or just the off the shelf tmobile one plan?

That garbage stuff is the rate plan, sounds like they switched you to a Magenta plan too.
Looks like the rep you spoke with screwed up your account.

I was also offered the iPhone 11 with trade in but have no use for another phone and do not have a trade in, so I declined.

Here's a screenshot of my order confirmation. Looks like it's just a SIM card that's being mailed out. It was a second rep that I chat with that did the extra line. The first one seem like a foreign rep who didn't get the memo.

I have a T-Force message on Twitter, Facebook, and a chat open on the T-Mobile web page. The chat responded first and said it's add a line to get a free line. I tried educating him (Marshall) but it wasn't going anywhere. In the middle of that chat, T-Force finally messaged me back on Twitter and was able to confirm the free line. I'm still waiting for them to reply again to actually add my free line but here's what they said:

"Looking at your rate plan, you'd be eligible to take advantage of this offer. Existing customers that have at least 2 paid lines definitely can add a new voice line for free with our Line on Us promotion that just launched today. I hope that this helps to clarify a bit more!"
That's the problem unfortunately is that some reps are informed and others are not. By the end of the day, it shouldn't be so hit and miss. You just have to know the facts and speak with the correct rep. Getting to them shouldn't be so challenging but that's because you have some people overseas working right now and some people coming in right now just starting their shifts (west coast).

Nope, you can only have 1 free line promotion. I just called. I am paying for 2 lines with 1 free, I was told to upgrade to Magenta pay for 3 and get 1 free w/ Netflix. Also since I am adding a line, this qualifies for the BOGO on Samsung Galaxy Phones.
Thanks for posting. Didn't really need it but would be nice if it's free. No way am I going to upgrade to Magenta when I'm on grandfathered SC. Paid only $90 a month for 4 lines now.

I was able to add a free 4th line on my Simple Choice acc with using Tmobile App. But no luck on free iPhone 11 with Trade-in, she said it requires porting.
Similarly I was able to get free line, but was told the iPhone trade in require me to convert to new account

for existing customer, just walk in and walk out with a free #?
I have T-Mobile One and just added a free line through T-mobile chat with no problems and no changes to payments on my account. They ALSO allowed the free line promo to be COMBINED with phone promos, so I picked up a ONEPLUS 8 5G for $350 along with it!

Not correct. The rep you spoke to is wrong. You can have two free lines, as long as you have two paid voice lines on your account.
