Skynet is prevented thanks to T2 but they still send terminators because they sent them in the future's past or something? And I thought Genesis was convoluted. And now there is a rip-off version of Skynet called Legion that makes nearly identical terminators with tentacle arms. Who thought these were good ideas? Remember when James Cameron was upset his Aliens characters were all killed in the beginning of the next movie just after surviving the events of last movie? I guess he was just upset he didn't do it first.

Just disregard the first two terminators while watching it

Terminator: Dark Fate is supposed to be a follow-up to T2. Overall, I give it a grade of "B-". It wasn't what I hoped it would be as a fan of the franchise. Sarah Connor and the T-800 are relegated as mentors on this follow-up. They basically took a back seat.
The advanced Terminator (Luna), designated Rev-9, is the BEST PART of the entire movie. The actor Gabriel Luna steals every scene throughout the entire movie for me. Think T-1000 on steroids! Impressive Terminator!
Give it a chance if you enjoyed T2.

I won't comment on the script or the plot since I gave up on the movie with about half hour left. Maybe it had a great ending....
