Buy the Dewalt XR Power Detect Reciprocating Saw with 8Ah and Charger and get a free 8ah battery. 8ah battery may only be available for store pick-up. Battery automatically added to cart.
Nice deal, guess I'll just have to be happy with my DSC367B and 3ah battery kit for $119 (bought at lowes with pricematch to Fasteners inc). I'm a light weight user so should be ok.
The battery extremely massive! Lol! Probably be a pain holding it in place to cut something.
This deal was on a few weeks ago too. I bought all of the power detect tools available and then flipped everything except the tools and a few 8ah batteries, thereby making each tool less than $100.
The 8ah batteries batteries were designed to be no heavier than the 5ah.That being said, the sawzall itself is heavy. It's a beast. I cut through thick-wall galvanized pipe like butter. But if anyone has issues with upper body strength or dexterity, then buy a lighter sawzall. The circ saw and hammer drill from this line are kickass too with the 8ah batteries. I haven't used the angle grinder yet.
Pricey stuff, but if you have deep pockets, or are just a cheapskate like me willing to flip the bags, chargers, and extra 8ah batteries, then go for it.

How much were you able to sell the 8ah batteries and bags for?
What is power detect? If you connect a 2ah or 5ah battery are they slower? Less torque? Compared to 8ah battery. No clear answers. All I keep reading is that they get more power but how are they measured. Time would obviously be longer do to ah. ?????
Based on volts x ah=watts the only benefit to xr power detect is the option to use small light batteries. Then if you need flexvolt style power just combine with 8ah xr battery. End result similar to flexvolt tools at 160 watts with a 3ah.

I sold the batteries in my kit for 95 each and the charger for 45. With the military discount i got the tool for just about $45. Sold my old 20v max saw for 50 bucks on facebook and got an much upgraded saw for free.

It's life changing man, just do it. Yeah sure you can cut metal, or any lock made of metal. But they cut masonry too. opens up hole new doors
I see no reason to get these over flexvolt.
Well worth it.
