Cheap butane stove which would be good for camping or other outdoor cooking scenarios. Can't speak to the quality or longevity of this particular brand, but pretty straightforward design. Something similar on Amazon is ~$30.

I know the Coleman one has been on sale for $13 or $12, but no time machine so...

Shows stock at almost every store around Los Angeles though YMMV.

Coleman are usually $20 on AZ. They jacked them up after covid. There are some "used" ones on az for that though.

Excellent advice. They're usually also the cheapest source for the disposable butane cartridges these stoves use, which are different from the 1 lb propane cannisters most people are familiar with. Actually almost any authentic ethnic food store will have these, not just Asian food markets. This is a standardized, basic stove design that a significant portion of the planet uses for daily cooking needs.

Prepper note: this would make an excellent addition to a family disaster/emergency kit.

Zion Market in Southern Cali has them for $10.99. Butane is $2.99 for 4 cans. I have seen these as low as $9.99 and $1.99 for the butane.
