I keep seeing complaints about small text at 4K. People forget or don't know that the advantage of 4K is not purely screen real estate. At 150 or 200% scaling the text sharpness is also much better than a 24" or 27" 1080p monitor. No more jagged edges on text. It's no wonder Apple pushes retina screens in many of their products.
I just purchased the LG 27BL85U-W 27" 16:9 HDR FreeSync 4K IPS.

Here are the differences:

- 27UK670-B is $170-$200 cheaper vs $500 (B&H no tax)
- Not as bright at 300 cd/m2 vs 350 cd/m2 (400 cd/m2 max)
- LG 27BL85U has HDR400 (vs 27UK670-B's HDR 10)
- Warranty is 1 year vs 3 years for the 27BL85U ($62 for 3 year warranty from Square Trade)
- 8-bit FRC vs 10-bit color
- Lock slot (worth $0 to me)
- LG 27BL85U has Dual 5W Speakers
- Slighty less power usage (lower brightness)

Resolution, Refresh Rate, Contrast Ratio, IPS Panel, HDR10, Color Gamut, Ports all are the same.

Color Gamut for both:

99% sRGB
99% CIE1931

So I think I'm paying $110 - $140 more for the extra 50 cd/m2, 10 bit color, speakers, and a different stand.

Or I can get 2 of the LG-27UK670 for $100 more + tax ($50 for CA).

Windows 10 has an option in Display Settings to increase the size of text (font) and icons, without having to change the resolution. This would do the trick, right?

OP repped - I was going to get a 27UK650W but it looks like this is the same monitor and about $145 cheaper for a basic stand that will do for me !

How does this compare to the LG 27BL65U currently going for $330? Looks like the only difference I can find is this has usb-c and less bright at 300 cd/m2 vs 350 cd/m2. The stand also looks different and this only has 1 year warranty vs 3 year for the LG 27BL65U.

Seems like a pretty good deal on a 4K IPS display from a major brand name. One thing that I would note is that 4K on a 27" is probably too small for most people. You'll probably end up raising your scaling to 150% or 200% in order to use this comfortably. At that point you're not really taking full advantage of the 4K.
Yeah. It's better with 32" while 27" would be good for 2K.

How is this compared to the Lenovo Q27q-10 that was for sale the other day for $170?

First off, thanks for the great deal OP!
There doesn't seem to be much feedback about this monitor. Can anybody comment about the quality/reliability? Does it compare to the Dell U2720Q? Thanks!

There are plenty of things not having to do with font size that a small 4k monitor is good for, i.e. 4k videos/movies, streaming (Stadia), video games etc
