I've had a price tracker on this lens since it has been selling for $250 new. Price dropped and I picked one up. Lens has great review and is the MFT version of the "nifty fifty."

The Panasonic H-H025 LUMIX G 25mm* interchangeable lens fits LUMIX G DSLM (Digital Single Lens Mirrorless) cameras based on the Micro Four Thirds system standard. Achieving F1.7 high-speed aperture, the LUMIX G 25mm / F1.7 ASPH. keeps its size compact and weight light. The large aperture allows a beautiful soft focus for photo and video to be even more impressive and encourages users to capture the subject without using a flash even in dimly-lit conditions.

Not, unless you want a slightly tighter framing.
I personally think the 40mm equiv. FOV is my favorite for street/people: wider than 50mm, tighter than 35, so the 20mm is "on the right spot", but it is down to personal preference.

Technically, the Panasonic Lumix G 20mm F1.7 ASPH (original) is one of the sharpest small primes for MFT and has some of the lowest chromatic operations even wide open. You won't notice much any improvement going for the 25 1.7 or the 25 1.4 even. It goes down to framing. Even f/1.4 vs. f/1.7 is insignificant really.

This 25 is meant to be a cheaper entry prime for the system, and it gets bulkier on top.
The autofocus on the 25mm is quieter than the 20mm, which might matter for video. I find that the autofocus speed is substantially faster on the 25mm vs the 20mm as well.

Been watching MFT lenses for awhile now. This is a pretty good price for a well rated and versatile lens, but it has been this price several times this year (see CCC link below).

Amazon appears to have price-matched as well:

Good deal on a good lens for that system. I had this one when I used to have m4/3 system.

Amazon one seems to be only the lens whereas the Adorama one includes a bit more.

This is probably one of the best first lens to buy for Panasonic MFT. I have this always equipped to my G85 and I don't really see myself changing lens as often as I need

One of my favorite lenses. A little more cropped than I like considering it's on a micro 4/3 system, but still really good. Definitely worth it

One of the most versatile lenses. I use this and my 14-140 almost exclusively.

If I have the 20mm 1.7, would there be any reason to buy this one?

Got this for the same price minus the extras a few weeks ago. Have really enjoyed it paired with my Olympus E-M10.

Should I get this lens or a Metabones Speed Booster because I already have good Canon lens?

Well stated. From my research, the 20mm is smaller, has a wider view, and maybe a small sharpness advantage at the expense of focus noise and speed. I ended up going for the 25mm deal because I do a lot of video and AF noise and speed are very important.

$150 is the normal price for this lens. The extras are a bonus, but this isn't a sale just FYI.
