Shame it's not 16GB, even if it brought it up to $800.

Ram is not upgradable

With 16 they'll probably want to sell it for 850 though

This was posted previously, but since it's here again, I'd mention there is no compatible stylus for this. I see the reviews and I personally checked HP site. deal breaker for me, but if you don't want to write on the screen, this is a great buy.

With 16gb RAM, plus...
Win 10 Pro
Intel WiFi 6 AX 200 (2x2) + bluetooth 5.0

Good deal as posted here, but the upgrades are easily worth the extra $139 for the machine on the link included above

Nope it's not. Chrome will eat that 8GB for breakfast. 16gb is standard or 8gb replaceable.

I searched and could not find an existing post on this. I'd be surprised if there is not a compatible stylus pen for this model, from HP website or any number of vendors.

This is also from Costco:

https://www.costco.com/lenovo-fle...79313.html

It is bigger and heavier (14" vs 13.3, 3.63 vs 2.9) but has 16GB RAM. Since the RAM is not upgradable on both, I think it is better to get the Lenovo, especially since the Ryzen 7 is using integrated graphics so your 8B is being shared for graphics output.

Sure there is. HP not only offers one...but it is also confirmed to work with the Dell Active, the Surface Pro pen and others...

More reviews trickling in basically saying it's the laptop to beat under $1,000 for most people. Though of course 8GB vs. 16GB RAM is more important to some than others so there are certainly other ways to get this laptop at a good price to those interested (including waiting for more sales or creating a Slick Deal alert).

If screen quality is important to you, the HP is significantly better than the Lenovo as regards to these options being discussed. However if it's not as important, the Lenovo Flex on Amazon for $600 is a great buy to save some money.

I don't have the answers for you. I did not buy the HP.

Build quality and battery life are both kind of subjective. How long the battery last depends on how it is used.
